Description
This was actually a piece I did six years ago, and posted in my gallery under "Schulz Meets Cronenberg". It's a mash-up of Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" characters with director David Cronenberg's 2005 movie, "A History of Violence" (based on the graphic novel by John Wagner and Vince Locke).I always liked this piece, and felt like it deserved to be dusted off and re-presented, this time with a little spit polish and some color.
If you don't know anything about "A History of Violence", you can read up on it here: [link] And I highly encourage you to see the movie. It's a hard boiled crime/drama/mystery, and a complete juxtaposition to the cute and introspective world of the Charlie Brown gang, which makes for a very fun and unique mash-up.

Oh my god, this is hysterical. Wrong on so many levels, but I love it.

Absolute and dreadful perversion!!! If Charles Schultz were alive today, he'd turn over in his grave.
I can say no more... except:
ENCORE!

Don't know the game so didn't get the joke. But I have a serious question... Is "Linus" pronounced to rhyme with "sinus" (the empty spaces in your head, but not the brain), or "McGuiness" (the beer.) I've been on the edge of my seat about this issue since 1965.
; )

No, not a game--"A History of Violence" was a movie, based off a graphic novel.
Yep, rhymes with sinus.

For some reason Linus always made me think of Linen and that made me think of sheets and that brought me to the subject of carrying a blanket...

That's f***ed up! Well-drawn (you do justice to Schulz's style), and a daring crossover, but still--that's f***ed up! Fortunately for you, f***ed up is not a major disqualifier for me (e.g. GWAR is coming to my town in three weeks and I'm going to be there). Besides, I've already seen one of Cronenberg's most WTF? films, his Americanized update of J.G. Ballard's car-crash-fetishist tome, Crash (read the original novel too--yeesh!). Thanks for bringing this up from the vault, if for no other reason than to see Sally finally find the key to winning the heart of her sweet Baboo.

Indeed. And it has far less mobsters getting their faces smashed in, which could either be a plus or a minus!

thats both a plus and a minus. plus minus and Linus, now for something completely different "WHISKEY RIVER!" I always loved the 50s and 60s B movies the monsters were CHEAP but waaaaaaay more imaginative then most of the modern refurbished ideas we have now a days I mean how many classic 70s and 80s slasher films are we going to trust Micheal Bay to "reinvent" I personally demand they remake A Nightmare In 100 Achre Wood and I demand Christopher Walken play Winnie The Pooh
