There's a local TV show produced near Detroit called "Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In", where the host is a werewolf who hangs out with these goofy characters and showcases cheesy old B and C grade horror films. It's a lot of fun, and I became a fan pretty quickly.By coincidence, some of my Michigan cartoonist pals happened to be working on a Wolfman Mac comic book, and I asked if I could do a pin-up for the upcoming issue. So this is the fruit of my labor, and it was tons of fun to create!
That's Wolfman Mac and his sidekick Boney Bob in the foreground. The poster behind them is for a schlocky horror movie of my own invention (see my next deviation for a better explanation).

How the HELL did I miss this one, up until 2 weeks ago we had Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive In on channel 29 on Saturdays here in Jacksonville, it was followed by Off Beat Cinema, I'm a huge fan of shows that show old horror and sci fi movies, Wolfman Mac was replaced on TV by Svengoolie which is allright as well but I sure as heck liked Wolfman Mac better

I love your exquisite details, like the comb in Wolfie's pocket, the bony guy's glazed expression, and the SO WHAT expression on the turtle dude. And that monster ROCKS! I'd want to munch down on some too-pretty beach goers as well.

Wolfman Mac sounds like a former local "schlocky-horror movie" host we had here in Tampa: the late Dr. Paul Bearer (aka Dick Bennett), host of the former WTOG-44's "CREATURE FEATURE".
As the good Doctor would say, "Just a grand ol' time watching Horrible Ol' Movies, Fright-Fans!"
You know, I'd love to see you doing a tribute to the good Doctor someday, Jay.

Thanks, Chad! That's really how they have Boney dressed on the show (with the exception of the shorts and sneakers, which I added just for funzies). Have you checked out the Motor City Comic Con website? I'm finally on there, and Wolfman Mac will be there as well!
