Description
My tribute to the classic Aurora Monster Model Kits from the 1960’s. These plastic model kits were among the first horror collectibles available to kids. I based the female character on Aurora’s Victim model kit, made to stand next to your favorite monster. The Wolf Man is my favorite. Here’s a couple photos of my own copy of the original Aurora Wolf Man.
And the box art from the Victim model kit.

Aurora Monster Model Kits! Yes! Oh how many of those glow-in-the-dark wonders used to look down on me at night as a kid. Gillman, Gozilla, Rodan, Ghidra, Kong, The Wolfman. I can't even recall them all.

I got 4 right now... Wolfman, Creature, Godzilla, and the Forgotten Prisoner (always loved that one).
Still very much wanting to get Dracula and the Mummy. And Frankenstein and King Kong and...

well actually the girl was made to be tortured
she was too small to stand next to the 60's monster models
I guess you could stand her next to the Monsters of the Movies Wolfman

Oh they're out there! Look on eBay. There's a whole subculture of guys who build them and paint them and sell/ trade them online.
Not always the originals from the actual 1960's, but the modern repros are made from the same molds and there is almost no discernible difference.
You can find & collect these if you look.

Gorgeous! I had those models as a kid; the Victim was part of the line that had Vampirella. That's what introduced me to Vampi and the Warren zines!

These kits were and still are awesome. I got the reissue of the Forgotten Prisoner a few years ago.
Really great tribute to the box art on both models

Welcome
Cool, which ones do you have?
I got some glow in the dark paint for the prisoner's bones and the rat's eyes so it looks really cool once the lights go out.

I have the Creature from the Black Lagoon,
Forgotten Prisoner,
Godzilla
and of course
The Wolfman.
Very much want to get
The Mummy (I've never been the world's biggest mummy fan but this model sculpt is just too great)
Frankenstein's Monster
Dracula.

Awesome! All of those are great, I always loved the box art for them, especially the Gill Man from Black Lagoon.
Monogram got the rights and the original molds to reproduce the Aurora kits and I think they reissued some of the ones on your want list a few years ago if I recall right. I know for sure they reissued the Ghost of Castle Mare, Wolfman and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I think if you hunt around online for them you can find them.
I always wanted the old 1960s era Marvel ones they did. Like the Spidey vs Kraven one that was based on John Romita Sr's art and the Jack Kirby inspired Captain America one. They made him look huge and angry in the model so I think it would be easy for me to repaint him as my favorite asshole US Agent.
