I'm such a loser. Its January, and I am barely getting a picture of a red leaf. There are no red leaves where I live since we don't have change of seasons, so this was my first time seeing such a pretty leaf in such a long time. I'm real happy with it. Tiny crop, no other editing done. Its all natural, just like my ..... NevermindSan Antonio, TX

Today its 70 something. Wednesday will be like 80 or 83. If it could stay 70 year round I would love it, but it gets WAY hotter. I just don't do winters well. I'd rather sweat than freeze. lol

The red leaves contrast so beautifully with the blue shy.
Our Autumns aren't cold enough to colour the leaves like this. We get yellowy orange. But its still pretty.

"Red Is A Lonely Color"
Someday, you should see New England's fall colors that I take as natural from growing up in Northern Ontario. Beside our driveway we have firebushes, so named because they turn a bright red in the fall but the leaves don't fall off right away and the bush provides red berries to feed the birds most of the winter.
And we have a giant maple in front, almost twice as tall as the house that provides an incredible display.
I am going to try to remember to pluck a red leaf or two and cast it in plastic and mail it to you this coming fall

I will have to post them, as soon as I finish this week's two newspaper columns, try to save my friend from foreclosure in below freezing temperatures, see bone doc about my aching bones. How can so many things need doing at one time?

Same here! I have lived in the south too long. I could live happily with temps ranging from 60s to low 80s..but high 70s would be better.
