Mwahaha I wasn't LYING when I said I'd draw more!
So here we go. My first full attempt at drawing my absolute favorite character from anything ever... Solf J. Kimblee!
Umm... it looks okay. I guess. (Not really).
But here's the deal. I promised *egyptian-sands that I'd finish a picture of Kimblee, even if I hated it. So here it is. To be honest, it came out a little better than I thought it would, but something still feels off about it. So PLEASE! Criticism is WELCOMED! I really want to get better at drawing Kimblee, so feedback is greatly appreciated.
*egyptian-sands , this is basically for you, considering my motivation to get this done was to post something before you got back from vacation. I hope you're proud.

This is so unexpected!!!! What a pleasant surprise to see as I check my messages when I return from vacation!! I'm so glad you posted this!!

I was actually kinda surprised by the outcome of it. I honestly thought with all the complaining you did it wouldn't look as nice as it does (that's a compliment, I swear 
I really like the shading, too. It's soft but but the colors look really nice. I especially love the soft black under his eyes. It adds a lot of depth
Speaking of the eyes, they look really good! 
The hands look good too, I love the little lines and fingernails
Overall, I'm rather impressed with this, especially considering this is your first official picture of Kimblee! I can't wait to see more!

Isn't it crazy though? I actually got something done! I'm sorry it's not so great. I was hoping it'd come out a little better. But point is, it's DONE. So I'm very happy about that.
I'm glad you like it though! lol and you know me and my constant complaining about anything that I do. That's the artist in me, I guess.
But yaaay Kimblee! Yes! I'm excited to do more too! Only thing is, I need more ideas for pictures. Thinking of poses and actions and whatever is really difficult sometimes... But I'll get on it asap.

Yeah, just don't think too hard for ideas. They usually hit you when you don't think about it as much. Or think of words and concepts instead of poses. Just don't overthink it

Ya know, I tried your whole "don't think about what you're drawing" thing... and it worked. Last night, I was like, "I'm just going to draw Kimblee's head at a side-view." And one thing lead to another... and now I have an idea! So BUH BAM. I'm drawing another picture!

Yeah, thinking too hard is the worst thing you can do. Keep your thoughts simple and ideas will come more easily

Haha yeah... Well I'm not done with it yet. To be honest, I didn't work on it at all yesterday, so it's still just hanging in my sketchbook. But I'll totally work on it today.

Considering that this is the first picture you're posting of Kimblee, he looks awesome!
For some reason, I really like the coloring and shading that you did on his face
I also really like the transmutation circle on his hand. It looks very detailed.
And also. His eyes. Awesome work. I know that you kept complaining about them, but they looks great!
