Description
My "more final" version of the Guncruiser Basechaiso model. This one has engines, hull-turrets and lower superstructure, as well as forward and rear facing torpedo tubes, and two arrays of vertical launch tubes.Click "download" to fullview, you can see a bit more detail that way.

Woha! That a lot of firepower. Great model.
One question: Why the bridge is so full of holes and has no portholes?

Those are space-portholes! The rest of the ship doesn't have any because I was lazy and inexperienced with the program when I made this.

Wow, the underside is really neat. It looks like no torpedo could ever touch that.

Thanks, and yeah, these things are practically untouchable.

If it is a floating sea ship, may I suppose that the underside turrets are designed to engage submarine targets like submarines or incoming torpedoes?
Very good work.

It's actually a floating space ship, the turrets are meant to engage targets from all different angles.

I would worry about engaging enemies directly above or below the ship, for fear of hitting the lines connected to those masts. They look a bit important. Else-wise, hot damn! I'm curious, though. Fuel source? Propulsion systems? I'd like to hear about it all.

Rigging is expendable, but it would disconnect and retract before any engagement. Antenna arrays would fold out of the way, as to not be blown off. As with most modern Middenian ships, power, food, air and ammo for the ship are provided via wormhole. There are massive factories cranking out ammunition, purifying air and packaging and processing food and water, all for the Navies sake. Wormholes are torn open from the senders-side, and whatever is needed is sent through.

Very cool. I'll assume they've mastered a way of doing ripping open worm-holes in an energy-efficient manner, then? This universe sounds more and more interesting by the minute.

Yeah, most of the wormholes are torn from within halfspace, a mostly dead universe that Midden has constructed massive antimatter reactors within. They can open wormholes called Quartergates to travel between our universe and Halfspace as well. Humans utilize faster than light travel by reducing the mass of their spacecraft, and other space-faring races use mass-teleportation and time compression to tavel across the expanse of space.

Wow... looks great...
But.. how the hell will they store all the ammunition to feed this many Guns?

Ammo, fuel, food and supplies are transported directly to their need via wormholes.

Hokey smokeys! When I fist had a look at your cruiser it was already a bad ass.. Now it's down right big brother bully! O.O
Keep up the amazing work.

Thanks a lot! I like it when a concept comes together nicely.

Oh yes, me too! xD
Although true it's far easier to make tweeks, and sometimes major redos in 3D vs 2D arts...well from what I've found anyway...It can still be a let down when things don't come together easily, as you wished.
Good luck with your future projects.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. You just gotta keep working at it.

Well, this one vessel is designed to hold it's own against entire enemy fleets.
