Description
This is Baask Nhyloci's [link] original sword. It is an Old-Venrocki styled serrated broadsword, made of a ceramic known as Poured Stone. It was her mothers sword before her, and was crafted by the same stonesmiths who would later use their talents with ceramics to make the nearly indestructible tanks and body armors that the Venrocks would use to crush the Vulpesant Kingdom. The Nhyloci name is emblazoned on the blade and scabbard in traditional Venrocki font.

Baask had this sword with her when she crept into the Royal fortress in the dark of the night with the intent of slaying Grand Lord Xob. Her airship had settled on his private garden, directly above his quarters, which enabled Baask to slip down onto a balcony just outside of his chambers. The power for much of the city had been knocked out due to a massive thunderstorm that the Loyalists had provoked using a blend of chemicals released into the atmosphere hours earlier. Baask slithered into Xob's chambers, spotting him reading by lamplight. She swung at him silently intending to kill him with one blow, but he deftly blocked it with the heavy tome he was reading from.

As Baask struggled to free her sword from the book it was embedded in, Xob rolled out of his chair and snatched a dueling sword from his wall. Slashing it at his opponent, the blade was cleanly sliced in half by Baask's upward swing. The Hikki grinned, slithering sideways towards Xob as he stepped backwards, quite stunned at the demise of his blade. Baask lunged, delivering a series of slashes and thrusts, a few of which grazed the agile Venrock, causing mere flesh wounds. Xob immediately realized they were more than just paper-cuts though, as the wounds began to burn and throb, and the pain spread from everywhere Baask's blade fell.

Ducking sideways, Xob managed to land a good kick to Baask's chest, causing her to recoil just long enough for him to dash out of her sword's range, and into his bedroom. The Hikki followed, and found him brandishing his Imperial Shortsword, the weapon with which he had slain Raul. She threw herself at him, and the two clashed in the darkness, illuminated only by the occasional lightning and glow of the lamp through the doorway. Xob had excellent low light vision, but his opponent was large, fast and heavily armed and armored. He managed to land a few good blows, but the serpents armor allowed her to shrug them off whenever he got close enough. Xob could also feel some poison spreading through his body, his muscles were aching and his throat felt like it was slowly closing on him.

Baask knew it was only a matter of time before someone heard the commotion in Xob's chambers, and realizing her poison wasn't working fast enough, she decided to make her move. She promptly blocked Xob's sword with an downward slash, and spat in his eyes. The Venrock was not expecting it, and gasped as his vision went completely black, and pain exploded across his face. Baask swept his legs out from under him with her strong tail, and sent him flying onto his back. Xob raised his weapon in a vain attempt to block a slash he knew was coming, only to have it connect with his forearm, nearly severing it entirely. He managed a feeble cry before he felt Baask's blade thud through his lower chest, cracking the stone floor below him. His world went from black to red as his life poured out of him and Baask wrenched the blade free. Raising it over her head, she hissed "THIS is for my sister."

Xob didn't think she was going to shoot him, but when he heard the single gunshot explode somewhere past his feet, he quickly realized someone else was in the room. Baask cried out, a rifle slug buried in her back, but she swung with all her might, and hurled her sword back through the doorway, where it cleanly sliced off the head of the Royal Guard who'd just shot her before embedding itself in the stonework of the fireplace. Gasping, she slithered towards the balcony, stopping once only to look back at her fallen opponent, laying in an ever-growing crimson pool. Hearing the footsteps of coming guards, she grinned, tasting her own blood as she did so, before grabbing onto the waiting rope ladder and ascending into the night.

So yeah, they're not exactly lovers.

I may render a better version of this sword later, but I had the idea for it in my head and wanted to get it down. I might also make it out of foam/wood, or real metal. We'll see.
