So a "Hero" has fallen from the ranks of the comic book world and I wanted to do a tribute piece. I tried the cool pics of Capt America, but an action pic just doesnt convey that feeling. Marvel argues that Captain America is more than Steve Rogers, and that may be true, but Capt America isnt CAPTAIN AMERICA with someone else in the costume. I mean he was there in WWII. He's been there through the years.So how DO YOU show the feeling of loss of an ICON like Catain Rogers? Well I think that this loss is being felt a Universe away. Hope you like it.
I had to photo merge it and kinda quick patchwork touch up in photoshop. Hence the shadow in the middle. But I like this one so I wanted to post it. I wish I could do something like this to convey the feeling for the REAL troops doing what they have to do, but I am just not THAT good.

Thanks again man, but thats just oneof those things that I dont know if ANYONE is good enough to really do, know what I mean? You have brave men and women out there fighting a war that they/ we all thought would be long since over by now. How do you draw a tribute for that? I could do something decent for them, but no matter what I did it just wouldnt be enough.

Thanks. I was going to do the Marvel guys and gals, but when I think about it, there really isn't that really super ICONIC character in the Marvel Universe aside from Cap. (I'll give you Thor, maybe) I love the Marvel Universe, they have great characters, but what makes the Marvel guys so great is ironically how "human" the super humans are. Plus Marvel is doing the Marvel Mourning thing already. What I have always liked about the DC world is just how larger than life their guys are. So I thought I would take the "Big Three" from "the other guys" and show some respect. Thanks again.

I love the Cap, and I like your sentiment about them mourning a Universe away (that statement answered my initial question).
Personally I wouldnt have used Batman, that man's broody enough.
