This is incredible! Where to start? Stances: Mikey is all small and curled, his eyes wide and confused because this is his big brother - why would Leo hurt him? - yet at the same time, it's a new shape to everyone involved and no one really knows what to do (by the way, I love how sad Mikey looks); Leo is large - even his wings aren't folded and his tail, I feel, is lashing back and forth. What's interesting, though, is that Leo's stance is not exactly predatory. It's observant: his head is up, his neck is elongated. If anything, the fact that his wings are half-unfurled indicates a sense of danger TO HIM; he's ready to take flight at a moment's notice.
Ground and Colour: While Mikey's in the foreground and illuminated in full colour, Leo is in the background and in shadow, outlined by the moon.
Details: I FREAKING LOVE THE FACT THAT THE WINGS' WEBBING IS TRANSPARENT!! You can see the outline of the moon through the webbing and I think that's such a wickedly cool detail to add, considering that a lot of dragon art I see depicts dragon wings as otherwise. And Leo's freaking eyes as completely white and immediately catch the eye - brilliant!
I've missed your art for this AU. It's absolutely incredible! I look forward to the next installment in your comic, whenever it comes.

Thanks, I had a rare moment of inspiration where I wanted to convey a feeling/mood as opposed to a theme or a pose haha.
I was aiming for uncertainty, from Mikey's POV - was he being watched over by his protective elder brother, or was he being stalked by the dragon that sometimes takes over his brother's senses?
Leo's own mood is alert but otherwise ambiguous.
I almost didn't too haha. Sometimes it is easy to make wings translucent, but it depends on the style of the piece. Solid colour and cell shading styles make it more troublesome to do, so some artists skip this. Also some dragons will have thick webbing by design. I give Donnie the most translucent/delicate looking wings, Leo's wings don't normally look so thin, in retrospect they should be a bit darker against the moon.
However since the light source is so solid and strong and directly behind, some of that light should pass through even the thickest of membranes...
