For those of you who are saying "OUCH!" and stuff like that, it does hurt, but we have toe pads that make them hurt less. And unless the shoes are too small, they don't hurt to the point where they make you cry.

They need to work on their boxes, but beautiful.

The really need to go over there boxes more, and a few of them are leaning way to far to their pinkies, but it's a great shot.

first i would like to say.. that the girl in front.. is going to hurt herself very badly with her back foot like that. She is also sinking into her arch and is not properly over her shoe. she needs to pull up in her knee more. also the second and fourth girl back is getting up on her shoe by the pinky toe.. if she gets up on her big toe it would work much better and not hurt her so much, leading in less blood blisters also. and that they should have a full arch before they are on pointe. and if they are two young then they will fracture their toes.
but, i honestly would like to say, it is a gorgeous shot. I love the angle of the camera and how it lessens in focus as it goes back. i hope i didn't offend you. i meant it as helpful tips..

i think i used block heritage and rehearsal and this other brand that was a three quarter shank. but i cant remember what it is called right now. i liked that one the best though, it was like, gambalty or something really wierd like that.
how long have you been dancing?
i had to quit because i had scoliosis surgery and had two titanium rods and 14 screws.

I have been dancing since I was 2. And that's odd, because one of my friends dances, and she has scoliosis. It's the worst feeling in the world to not be able to dance.

yeah i did alot of that also, except i never tryed tap before. it looked fun though, all the performances looked fun to do.
are you going to try to go professional ? and if so what are you going to major in?

hhmmm, see I'm trying to decide If I want to go professional, or work at a a studio, or perhaps get a teaching degree and go to teach and coach poms or any other dance programs a high school has. I would love to eventually open my own studio.
As for what I'm going to major in, that is difficult, I have a passion for ballet, lyrical, and Hip-hop. It would be a difficult choice for me to make. I think for me Being a teacher at a high school would be great to be able to teach kids and also be able to teach dance.
And I would be able to find my ways to express myself through art and not performing arts, because as you can see I am on deviantart and love to draw. I would also like to act If I couldn't dance, because to me dance is telling a story and expressing feelings, just like you wuold as you act.

Β Hello, Pardon I hope I'm not intruding. May I proffer My Opinion. There will always be a Place for the Classically Trained Ballerina. To which the Training of Jazz or Hip Hop May be added.
Β I offer my opinion asΒ having beenΒ Classically Trained and I never want for Work. To commit too much to the Contemporary is to be a Victim of what May be Passing in several years. The place we call the Garden of Forgotten Favorites.

I love it, it's so hard dancing with the Pointe, but I love dancing the pointe even yet it's hard but it's fun it's about to be my 3rd year with Pointe. I love the picture nice shot.

Tights are sorta bunched up in some places, but that makes it looks natural.

You have to know these are all your children just starting on pointe. So the bunched u tights and lack of arches is due to the age and inexperience.
