Description
I actually did this picture of Aeskhari back on Christmas. I just got around to finishing it now.But I had to thought of Aeskhari at the Chathdral of Saint Maria (there's one in Twin Tails of Vengeance and one in Lost Before the Light too) atop a gargoyle's head.
I think the shading is kind of bad. But I tried really hard to get it looking realistic. I try to paint as well a picture of Aeskhari's world so you can feel as if you can step into it. It's a dark nostalgic world...
Full view please, theres alot of detail in this.

Thank you very much. World building for his world is quite difficult. Buti'm glad I got the nostalgic horror vibe. but this a slieght view of it. I think my poses leave alot to be desired but thank you.

You're welcome! I guess Aeskhari is pretty difficult to understand at first view then! Well your poses are better than mine

He actually looks gigantic here. I looked back later and kinda laughed. I don't quite agree with that. But i don't think I've seen many poses of Senka yet either.

... That is sort of true
Yes you're good! Well the only poses I drew of her until now were simple... But will attempt harder ones soon!

Probably bigger then Gorbakenstien!!
Gorbakenstein: Size is alone cannot determine victory in battle.
Gigantic Aeskhari: Crap.
I try to do lots of hard posese as well. But in all my action scenes the combination of both functional poses and correct angles always beats the crap outta me. @.=.@
Can't wait to see and learn more.

Huge Aeskhari: Heeeeeeey.... I am not a wimp.
Really? Never heard of an character like that before. But that's one of the things I love about your work so far is that I've never seen characters like yours before. (looking at the fact that alot of the original characters on DA are more of the same.)
I'm not sure that would be good for wooden pencils though?

Fenris: I decided you were!
Ah really? Thank you! Same here I really like your works, and your characters are unique!
You've never seen characters like mine before as in both personnality and appearance? I'm always afraid of finding a character that's looking too similar to mine (Yeah a lot of OCs look similar on DA...)
... Umm then put some perfume on the pencils?

Gigantic Aeskhari: (stomach growls) I decided I am bigger then you and you look rather yummy........
You're welcome. In both personality and appereance yes. I have yet to see a griffon feline christian anywhere period. Yeah I'm always afraid of the same thing as well. Most of the white dragon ocs I see are alot grander looking then Aeskhari though.
.....but that's not manly.

Fenris: * But still flees*
I saw characters slightly of the same style as her, but never too similar. The huge difference is that she is a believer
I don't agree! Aeskhari is cooler than them I mostly meant febreeze or something LOL

Gaint Aeskhari takes one step and he's already in front of Fenris. "Whereever you go you cannot escape me! all because my stupid artist messed up my preportions!!" *tilts head back and laughes evilly but accidently knocks moon out of orbit* "....oops."
Gorbakenstien: YOu impudent fool! Your reckless actions have ruined the ecosystems!! *tides change*
That's true. I see rarely any christian characters anywhere. Haha glad you like him. He would deny what you said but would secretly be glad. that knuckle head!
Well that would work actually...

*Fenris starts to laugh like a maniac at Aeskhari* (Both him and Velgard are blind but I guess they heard the moon move or something )
Same Probably some people are ashamed, this is sad...
Yeah probably, at least he would appreciate it
Then do spray febreeze on them! (I wonder if it's bad for pencils...)

Jblask In reply to TheShadowFeline [2011-02-02 05:34:19 +0000 UTC]
Aeskhari glares at him before flopping down and sitting ontop of him so he can't move. (that is true. they would rely on other senses.)
That probably has something to do with it. Sometimes I can feel ashamed. but I don't want that to stop me. Ther is now way I want some insignicant fear to stop me. He wold appreciate it even if he didn't admit it.
Hmmm... that probably wouldn't be too bad for them as long as I don't drown them in a monsoon of febreeze.

*Fenris tries to bite him and strike him with his scorpion tail* Rrrrarrghh!
Good! Shyness about it wants to get at me too... But let's not be ashamed and show that our characters believe in God! (and ourselves at the same time) That is why I want to make more drawings with my characters serving God!
Yeah.

MORTAL KOMBAAAT!!!!
It's not so much shyness in my art that makes it hard.... what I'm worried about is that I will portray something in the wrong way and accidently mislead people or something. I want to make more. But never sure about making a solid theme.

TheShadowFeline In reply to Jblask [2011-04-19 01:38:26 +0000 UTC]
I know it could be hard to portray it correctly sometimes. But don't be afraid because that might hold you from doing Godly art, you don't want to let the Enemy win huh?

Wow, what an awesome background! Hehe, it looks awesome! The harsh lighting effect makes this look really good. The pose is so dynamic; it looks as if he's going to blast off of that gargoyle~!

Jblask In reply to Epiaruna [2007-02-14 00:44:04 +0000 UTC]
Why thank you kindly. I worked on the background trying to give the town a cartoony horror story look by distorting the structures and add that good old grave yard. The lighitng was a pain but I'm satisfied. And in a role play between me and my sister he actually did blast off the gargoyle.
Thanks for commenting so in depth.

Aeskhari isn't that big. Now worries, he's only sitting high up on the cathedral so the background is far below him. He's actually pretty soft hearted but I didn't draw him a mouth here so he could be thinking about tomorrow's math test of his midnight snack.

Well my stuff is sometimes hand drawn and then edited in photoshop. Sometimes it's jsut handdrawn but I've always needed a more precise tool like a tablet. Because it's not the best it can be.
But you have some pretty good stuff your self so don't be blowing it off.
