Description
A little project I've been working on for awhile now. Being in the field training 24/7 has made it very very difficult but it's a start.This is basically an experiment testing out ideas for characters, story telling, and designs maybe it will maybe not. This one focuses on a very small Aeskhari as he tries to hide while gripped by his crippling fear of the dark.
I'd really appreciate as much feedback as possible to know what aspects are working and what isn't.

I do really like your angles and the dynamic shots, your use of color to set mood is pretty good too. As far as technical goes, I would buy a cheap dollar store triangle, like the kind draftsmen use, but less expensive. It will help you keep all your panels perfectly square so you don't have to eyeball if they are straight or not. Also, Get one that is see through, so you can see the ends of your lines so you don't go over the end. He is a sweet boy, and I feel bad for him, which speaks volumes for your abilities to make the reader FEEL. That is important.
One last thing, practice lettering, I had to do dozens of alphabets over and over before I got it a little consistent. I do kind of agree with the first poster about your word bubbles, if you are putting them in dead space to leave room for the art in the panels, then adjust your panels to accommodate them both, dead space is not so good in comics. I think it's pretty good! The slow pace makes it somehow more suspenseful. XD I also think the dynamic between Willow and Aesk is interesting in the way that they definitely seem to be friends fast despite communication limitations. Though her not being able to talk might lead to stressful moments if she has to get a complex point across and gestures aren't working. And of course limiting the usage of Aesk's powers adds to the tension!
