no offense, but your tech sheets could use some spellchecks/proofreads.
"phaer" "torpeadods". "courageous" is supposed to spelled with one "g".
"Classifercation" instead of "classification"
some of the size comparisons have multiple "crusiers" and "ecsorts".
Spelling in graphics based software is always tricky, as there's no automated check. What I do is to copy paste the whole text block in writing software. I KNOW I'm gonna get some things wrong and it won't tell me otherwise.

The ship itself looks nice though.

Cheers mate, I have to say I did this a long time ago and I wasn't for me. (Not to say i wouldn't have done my best though) I will have another look at it. Thanks for the feedback mate.

I know, just putting phaser strips on it would make a big difference, we had the Miranda, why not the Constitution!
Thank you for your comments, it's appreciate.

A constitution refitted with phaser arrays makes it more badass!

I know, should have been in TNG like the Miranda was.

rjpsupahuman In reply to jbobroony [2016-12-22 21:55:10 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it should have. Always had the excelsior miranda and oberth ships in TNG but not the one ship I really liked. This was wrong for not putting the constitution refit in there.

It is a shame, we see Miranda and constellation class ships and they are about the same age. :-D

Your welcome. Exactly right. They fared well, why not have a Constitution class ship participate in a battle?

jbobroony In reply to Bundeswehr88 [2014-12-16 17:28:48 +0000 UTC]

I know, there was a constitution class hull (the destroyed enterprise in search for spock) in the grave yard seen in best of both worlds part 2. Its rite behind a galaxy style engine, so they are still in use in the middle of TNG.

Someone made a 3d model along the same lines as this idea called the Resurrection-Class Connie refit.Β  I use it for my ship in the TNG/DS9/VOY timeframe.Β  It has been in duty since it's launch, though most of that time has been spent as a Courier and an Academy trainer.Β  Some views of it are below.

TheShepster [2014-08-14 21:08:15 +0000 UTC]

Nice idea, however, there are some mistakes with this project...

1. The classes you name are "still" in service, meaning those ships are around 70+ years old at the time of TNG. I doubt that any ship of those classes that gets lost during service would be replaced by ships of the same class.

2. USS Hood is – at the time of TNG – a ship of Excelsior class and appears in several TNG episodes.

3. If you compare them closely, you'll see that Enterprise C's Ambassador class already is a TNG-ish re-imagining of Constitution Class (one of the reasons I like her better than Galaxy Class).

4. In "Where no one has gone before" an H is missing...

Aside from that, I like your work. Really nice!

I know, but they are still in service at the time of this classes launch date.... both Galaxy class ships, or they would be in with the rest.
( same with many of the other original 12 constitution class ships )

I had a thought of somthing like this but a flight IV or block IV excelsior, built in the mid 24th century to fill a precived cruiser gap. they would of had galaxy/ambassador type life boats. segmented phaser arrays, transporter emitters and some TNG era hull stying

It's a beautiful thing to look at and I like what you did with the registry and all...but why 2378? (I know the Connies returned to service in the 2400's, and because of that, I wanted to bring this baby back in 2368 as a prototype before mass-production)

jbobroony In reply to Gundam1701 [2014-08-06 22:43:02 +0000 UTC]

Iam sorry, it was supposed to be 2368 lol.... Typo
If the prototype came out in 2368 and the rest later, do you want a bigger gap in the reg?
