Description Mwahahaha! Finally finished it!

Hm, I wonder how many pic descriptions I start out like this. (Well did beat the deadline...)

I'm kinda happy with this one cuz it's my first time coloring Saitou. and coloring Tokio too. This is for the fanart contest held by Angrybee for her awesome Rurouni Kenshin fanfic Hajime and Tokio .
A BEAUTIFUL FANFIC! *sniffles* So lovely in writing and rich in symbolism, humor and drama, and wow, it's a treasure. Yes, it's about Saitou and his wife. SO? Hey, we do get to see many of the other characters from Rurouni Kenshin (except Enishi, oh well).

Anyways, back to the pic. It's from a chapter called Ghosts of the Past. In it, a woman named Katsu Yamaguchi invites Hajime and Tokio to her house where she has someone who has wanted to meet Saitou for a very long time....
And no, that's not Soujirou up there. I think he has blue eyes anyways. And no I don't wanna give spoilers. There's a lotta surprises in this chappie.

I drew and colored Tokio based on my perception of Angrybee's Tokio and a little bit on what the REAL Tokio looked like. (She was really pretty and young looking, even with an adult son. O_o) Katsu was based on my first impression of her in the fanfic and the other guy? That one took me looking for some old RK episodes.

I like this picture, mostly because I was able to finish coloring it in less than a week. O_o; I managed to stick with it for six straight days! I was very busy with my first two weeks of my second spring semester that I was only able to work on it for a couple of hours each day. Somedays less than that. The reason I was so pressed for time also was because I wasn't sure when her contest would end. Apparently I still had a week to go. x_X; *curses*

The background I finished in one day (or nine hours, twas a Saturday when I began coloring). I looked at Japanese oekakies again and did my own thing with the sky.
However, I will be honest. I did a very cheap thing and copied the mountains and bushes from one old oekaki drawn on an english language oekaki board. I think it's Oekaki Circle ... I know that the artist's name is Aelwine and he/she colors/draws a lot of landscape oekakies. That's why if you look at the mountains and bushes and then at the clouds, they just don't match. *slaps head*

YES, very Cheap I know. I did edit them in order to fit them into this picture tho. The original oekaki's image was at a 90 degree angle(as tho taken from a bird's eye view), 400x400 pixels size, (I did a lot of cutting, stretching and enlarging) with a golden lake in the middle of the pic. That doesn't show up in here, becuase I stretched the mountain range to fit behind Tokio and Saitou so whatever lake there would be is covered by them both. I also blurred and added a golden mist on the bushes to soften their pixely look.

Everything else is my own. I hope despite my moment of weakness, you can enjoy the rest of the pic. I do feel guilty about not finishing the bg in my style. Otherwise I'd say I'm very proud of this pic. I don't think it's a horrible pic and I hope it at least encourages people to go read Angrybee's fanfic. She's an awesome writer and has a wide variety of fanfics, so I'm sure everyone can find something they will enjoy if not this fanfic. Tho, I have to say, she is my fave fanfic writer. Enjoy guys!

Yay! I can draw adults! Hey, I have that problem too. All my young girls and young men look the same, with the difference in color or expression. ; Squee! Yes, that's the look I was going for, a movie poster. It's pretty much advertising Angrybee's fanfic after all... But thank you so much! Your comment makes me happy! I knew I shoulda been a missionary! I catch people's attention and convert'em.
