Description
Someone asked what the child in Pride and Joy would look like grown up.

Here ya go! And he has a little sister to boot. ^_^

I decided to name him Aiji ("character of love").

I actually had a clear idea of what I wanted him to look like. He's older so his hair's gotten longer and darker. I gave him the signature Hyuga sleek shiny locks of hair. His sister's hair is more like their father's untamed hair (like Temari and Kankuro's basically), but a mix of her mom's and dad's hair color.

He's got the byakugan, but instead of his eyes having a violet tint like his mother's, it's got a greenish tint like his father's. His sister has more normal Hyuga eyes.

Believe it or not, Aiji grows up to be a rather intimidating teenager. Unfortunately, this pic fails to convey his badassness...sorry! Cuz yes, he does grow up to be quite the badass (with a name like that ya kinda have to...). I guess, this is his more gentle side.

lol, actually Aiji has three sides to him. I figured why not? He gets an interesting, somewhat dysfunctional upbringing, being the son of the Kazekage and heir to Hyuga.

There's the side he shows the public..."his super dignified curt side that would put even the stuffiest Hyuga to shame." This one he got from his uncle Neji and aunt Hanabi. It's what makes people fear and respect him (and makes the Hyuga and Suna fight over him.)

Then there's the side he shows his closest friends and those he trusts the most..."his gentle side." This is who he was since he was a kid. If you look at Gaara and Hinata, they were both initially really sweet shy kids. I figured it'd be natural for Aiji to be the same. But politics, family politics, ninja lifestyle, and well growing up force him to become something else.

Then there's the one side he shows when he's lost his patience and only shows those that he's never planning to see again..."His crude, foul-mouthed side that would make Hidan blush"...this one he gets from his uncle Kankuro and Naruto. He rarely shows this side, since he's infinitely patient. But every once in a while, something or someone will make him snap. When that happens, he drags the offending person to a secluded area and unleashes this side on them.

I think once upon a time I had a name for the little sister...can't think of it. For now I shall call her Hikari "light". Kinda goes with the Hyuga shtick of having an H-name that has something to do with fire, sun or whatever the Hyuga symbol stands for.

This girl's super shy. Practically mute, another reason why Aiji had to overcome his shy side. Boy had to stand up for her (and possibly overcompensate for them both...lol). But she gets better! There's a bit of an age difference between them...five to seven years perhaps? Anyhoo, in spite of that, they're close. I imagine him to be uber protective of her and considering how badass he grows up, no one dares to mess with them.

Woot! Lineless art! XD;; or sorta. I did this one differently. I took the sketch and colored over it on photoshop. I mostly used the sketch as a guide layer. Twas fun and quick to do. But yeah, definitely can't do it for more detailed work. Would take too long otherwise. hence why they're dressed in white and have no background. The wardrobe I imagine for them is a bit different...

Anyhoo, Aiji and Hikari are my creation. Their parents belong to Kishimoto, so no one sue me. This is just for kicks and giggles.
