...another day. All the world is waiting for the sun...Woot! I finally finished it! Took long enough alright. X3 (like oh, several months...) Mostly cuz I couldn't decide on the coloring for clothes or the theme. But thanks to Summoner Lenne's tip, I finish coloring it.
Here's how it looked when I got stuck and wanted to submit it already Cool Version
YES! Tis Kazekage Gaara and Chunin Hinata, But don't hang me just yet! Humor me for the moment. Tell me they would not make interesting friends? Ever since I read the ShikaIno fanfic, Worth the Trouble by Prime Minister. I fancied these two if not as a couple than as a good pair of friends. Mostly cuz Gaara respects Naruto and in turn would respect Hinata who admires Naruto the most. AM I making sense here?
Anyone read that fanfic? I just giggled in delight when in chapter "In the Fray", Gaara threatened Shikamaru to let go of "Naruto's Woman." Shika's like, "I'm HER FRIEND, I'm protecting her (from you)." ANd Gaara's like, "Bah," *Sand coming to life* Until Hinata finally speaks up and is like, "No, no! It's true! He's my friend!" and Gaara chills out and checks on HInata to make sure she wasn't hurt in the last battle while mumbling, "I won't let anyone hurt Naruto's friends." And then when Hinata pats his hand saying she's okay, he gives a small smile. *squee!*
kk, that's an old fanfic, actually, (really good one) but still it planted a seed in my head so when I came across a Gaahina fanfic, woot! it flourished into this. Yay for crackpairings!
JB loves her crackpairings. Bad for you but addicting.

The title is from the song "Rain" by Breaking Benjamin. Very pretty soft song, didn't know it was them when I heard it. Thought it fit this pair.

EDIT: I had to lighten it since photoshop is doing that weird thing again where it doesn't show me how super dark the pic actually is. The thumbnail makes this look really light, but the full view shows the colors the way I want them to look. (still a bit bolder than what I envisioned, but much better than it was before where the colors just BLED)
I think this pic had the most layers ever of all the pics I've colored. The last deviation I did taught me a lot about different coloring techniques on photoshop so I used them here with some color (instead of lighting). I'm not satisfied with the misty look it has. Mostly because I had to sacrifice one or two things in it and tried compromising but in the end, I'm not to sure I like her hair. LOL, the color looked better before i did the luminosity technique.

ok seriously...i was a die hard naruhina fan until i came across this pic and now, thanx to you, I AM OBSESSED WITH GAAHINA!!! AAAHHH!!!! not that that's a bad thing xD yay! this picture is absolutely gorgeous. when i saw it i was like OMG PRETTY!!! *fave* but then i saw gaara and hinata and i was like, hmm, would that even work? but if you start thinking about it a lot like i did, in reality, hinata is really the only feasible option to be paired with gaara. she's the only person who isn't a jinchuuriki that actually understands how they feel. which is also why she's the only obvious choice for naruto as well....THREESOME!!!!...*cough cough* er, sorry about that. i had a momentary fangasm. anyhoo, awesome job!!!!!

Yay! I was able to help you finish this! ... What did I say again? *Face fault* (Was it the thing about submitting the one you like the most and having the other one in scraps? o_0)
But- to the pic. Absoutely GORGEOUS Jb. As usual, the coloring is amazing- of course coloring has always been your aboustely (I spelt that so wrong) strongest talent. If I would give any critiques it would just be that the clothing seems to lack drapery and is very simple, and Gaara's hair is sorta doing this.. neon orange glowesy thingie o_0.
(Though Hinata's hair is very very pretty ^_^.)

dude! I thought i had responded to this one before...
Yup, their clothing is really simplistic, almost scantily. LOL...well the scene that inspired this had Gaara in torn up clothing (I think...he had just survived escaping the super-sand-powered psychotic clone of his mother
Well after working hard on getting her pose/anatomy right, I felt frustrated at the thought of putting a big baggy hospital gown on her. All that trouble to get her anatomy right just to get it all covered up. (and I liked how her body looked...TT; ) So I gave her a body suit.
But basically, I just wanted to draw a pretty Hinata and Gaara. Clothing and accesories didn't really matter to me as much as conveying a mood or theme. Thus why I took forever on it. In my attempts to make the clothes basic, I had actually wanted to leave them white.
But something you said encouraged me to color them. XD; So yeah...it could've been worse.
Anyways, oh yeah! I love his glowing hair! It's radioactive!

But TRUST ME- I undertsand on the anatomy. Sometimes I'll take FOREVER getting the anatomy right, because I want it to be GOOD- and then it's like "Wait, I have to put ugly clothes on over this? But it's so pretty... but it'd be so random if this character was naked.... aww dammit!"
And I think that does make sense about an under-ninja suit. And I think the sexiness is nice also, though I did laugh a bit at it. ("Ohh... look at the Hinata PRETTY CLEVAGE LINE, BWHAHAHA!") (I'm so weird.)
But no, now that you mention it it really does add more to the picture than detract from it that the clothing is simplistic.
I do remeber now suggesting you should color in their clothes- though that was awhile ago- and I am happy you did- I think it looks so pretty ^_^.
Anyway, I'm stupid, I was thinking how you always do simple clothing and forgot completly about that one Sam pic. Lmao.
Ya, red hair is diffnetly exotic in Japan and it is a cool way to depart him from the surroudings- and hey, he has a tanuki demon in him! He's ALLOWED to be radioactive! Lol.
Work work... almost done with your semester though! (Me as well, GOTTA STUDY, AGHH!) Yay!
And I know what you mean about artist descriptions, I tend to just start ranting, it's bad...

and you know what's funny? I actually had to make her boobs bigger for this pic. If you compare the lineart with the finished colored version, you'll see they're smaller. I did that cuz with color she looked really small. and we all know Hinata out of all the young kunoichis has been blessed the most.

oh I didn't? IT's the story that involves the Korean OC's and how they meet Misao. And on Enishi's end, its how he finally leaves Rukinamura(sp?) and is forced into being a spy for the government by Saitou (and unknowingly by Tokio too).
