omigod...sooo out of it!
Mom broke her ankle over a week ago and I've taken up all her duties around the house and with dad. I'm also still working full time...so I barely have any time to get on the computer, much less draw. *groans* Sorry guys!ha ha, I sketched this out a long time ago on Open Canvas. Tis unmasked Red X catching an unmasked Batgirl!
(i'm lazy with masks...and damn if I don't like drawing faces...) And if you've seen my previous picture of Red X...you'll know in my fandom Red X is Jason Todd. Hehe...Sorry felt like sharing one more crack pairing with y'all. (Yup, even American comics could not be spared of my Crack Pairing ways)
And yes, I know Jason Todd has never met Cass Cain...though I can't help but wonder what that meeting will be like when they do.*looks at the current state of Batman comics*
On second thought, nevermind. I'll wait till a writer who gives a damn comes along. Cass is pretty far from her original self, and Jason Todd is currently....well, yeah....Let's not go there.
Knowing DC...their meeting would be a disappointment. I mean, lord, they couldn't even right get what was essentially THE reunion with her closest friend Steph. Cass also hasn't interacted with new Robin, Damian, even though out of everyone, she's probably the best person to handle him due to their similar backgrounds.
Guh...this normally wouldn't bug me if not for the fact that DC ALLOWED Cass to be "adopted" by Batman. *headdesk* not that I was fond of that idea...nor the execution of that idea...but...what the fuck? So...Cass fans had to suffer through that horrid less than mediocre Batgirl miniseries last year only to have everything in it be ignored by current Batman writers? Man I feel sorry for everyone who bought that miniseries...
arrgh, anyways. Back to the picture....*think happy thoughts* Yes, I love fandom. It's the thing that keeps me entertained when canon blows. ^^
I tried staying true to the Red X costume from the Teen Titans cartoon, but adapting it to a man's body. Yeah, still struggling here with anatomy.
I decided to give him a cape that gets raggedy at the end, making it more wraith/grim reaper-like/broken wing-like I guess?The only thing I changed about Cass' Batgirl uniform is the belt. Girl needs a belt with pouches that don't bounce up and stick out like some funky tutu.
Now why Jason and Cass? Well, they're opposites and yet not. I could go on forever but this is long enough. I think they'd make a fun double act Yeah, Jason Todd's a bad boy, but damn can he be funny at the worst of times. He's a cheeky character, so I can see him playing the comic foil to Cass's straight man. XD She's not a dummy, tho, so I can see her putting him in place from time to time, not to mention beating him when it comes to fighting...
Feel free to blame Greeneyelove on livejournal. She used to write the loveliest jason/cass fanfics some time ago.
Others have too, but I first discovered it first through her. And I think she wrote the longest ones...*remembers Alley Bats fondly...*btw, us romantic fangirls aren't the only one who thinks Cass and Jason would be interesting together. Hell, some folks think they'd make a neat pair of anti-heroes...(saving good people and killing the bad guys).
But yeah, seems like I'm the only one who's made Jason Red X. He's usually Red Hood or some other fan made costume. *do not like Red Robin much...*
Oh well, who knows what DC will end up doing with him. I just hope he doesn't die. Ugh, that would be so annoying. Same with Cass. really hope she doesn't die and just decides to continue with her soul-searching trip she was supposed to take at the end of her original series. *sighs*
Jason Todd, Red X, Cassandra Cain, Batgirl sadly do not belong to me. I'd treat them a WHOLE lot better than DC does. No one sue me. This is just for shits and giggles. Enjoy!

YES YES YES. XD I'm so interested in these two as a pairing, but I was starting to think I was the only one. ._. And when I first got introduced to the canon, I wondered if the Red X had something to do with Jason, so that was even more win in my book. 
And lovely posing! Poor Jason, though, knowing Cass, she's not going to stand for him being that close to her face for that long.

I like this. I think it's cute. Love their expressions and the capes seem rather good and loves how they flow. They would have opposite characters. Good contradiction. Yeah, I agree with you on her belt. The pouches were HUGE. I gotta say, I kinda prefer for Red X not to have THAT much muscle. No offense, but it was a bit too much for my taste.
Btw, you are NOT the only one to think Red X is Jason Todd. I think he IS Jason Todd. I mean, he is very similar to him AND both he and Robin have practically have the same moves! I am disappointed they didn't expand any of it. Oh, well. But still great drawing

excellent work, and I agree Cass needs more love from the DC writers, she's a WAY better Batgirl than Steph Brown and would know how to handle Damian best. Really hope she returns and reclaims her cape and cowl soon now that Bruce is back, or at last creates her own new persona like Dick did when he became Nightwing.
hell, she'd probably make a cool Nightwing if Dick intends to stay as Bats and Steph doesn't give up the batgirl mantle

Well, number one, your art is amazing! Are you saying you had no reference to draw from because I could seriously be withering from jealousy. Your anatomy is so not off, and you can feel the emotions in these two, it's radiating from their expressions. This almost makes me sick at how undeniably good you are for doing this in spare time.
Number two, though I am not a big follower of the DC comics, I am of fanfiction, and there are a few who set up Red X to be Jason Todd. My favorite Red X pairing is actually Raven and Red X, my favorite fic with his identity as Jason Todd. So you're not the only one out there who thinks this is probable, it was even kinda hinted at on Teen Titans. Even when you look at some of the later costumes that Jason has, they look kinda like the Red X suit, and it would explain his rivalry with Robin in TT, because of his rivalry with Dick Grayson. I just want to say, it fits, and you did an awesome job.

Oh my gosh!!!!!! Now, I have to see this move!!!!! And, yes, underneath that Red X mask is Jason Todd. I know it, you know it, the ANIMATORS know it, it's just about time they admitted it. Now I'm all hyped up for this movie, I looked up the information on Jason on Wikipedia and it mentioned a movie, but I couldn't find a link. Hm...well, it's weird. They were written as breaking amicably only to have someone else write them part ways badly and now they're reuniting in the Red Robin and Batgirl book, though it doesn't look like it's going to be a pretty meeting. *groans*
