Ok so I lied when I said the last Mando drawing I had was the final design. Truth is I don't think I will ever have a final design haha. Well here is my newest costume design, I do not expect to have this costume done before next years convention at all so I am going to take my time on this one. I want to make this one perfect so that means trying to make all the parts my self and sculpting out a lot of the pieces. It's going to be a new process for me but I think it will be fun to attempt. Yeep. Thats the thing with theses kits, you usually never have a 'final design' I know I've changed what I wanted several times over...and I dont even have a kit yet. D8

I am learning how to get a kit going lol, I really want to go all out on this one and make as a perfect as I can so it's going to take me sometime. I might but I most likely won't be in costume for awhile. The last helmet I had for the costume has been completely stripped down for this newest helmet project.

I have been looking at a lot of costume builds on rpf.com and alot of people have been doing awesome things with foam sheets. I want to attempt to make the armor pieces out of hard foam and the helmet I am hoping me and a friend can make a copy out of resin. I am hoping to start sculpting the helmet out of clay soon. I really want to make this a big project for myself.

I don't blame ya, I am almost done with my armor and it's taken me over a year to build and it's just a simple Mando armor. It's being made out of pvc pipe. I have never heard of foam sheets before, is it any good? Well I do wish you luck on your armor.

Your armor looks awesome by the way good job! I would like to try pvc pipe for the robot arm, but the foam I think would work great for those difficult armor pieces, just check out what this person is doing with foam for their Batman build [link]
