Description
This story, spanning from October 28 to November 2, 2002, took a lot more work than I initially thought it would - I wrote it, read it over a few times, then threw it out and rewrote the whole thing. The first draft played Jocelyn's entrapped situation like a legitimate horror movie... but as a result, it wasn't funny. I played up the humor the second time around, and I'm much more satisfied with the final version.By this point in the strip, the kids are all doing that thing where their Halloween costumes reflect the popular culture of the past year. How many cultural icons from 2002 can you identify at the party?

Kendra as Lilo - may have been mentioned already, but it's genius and suits her character. Likewise with the storyline's outcome

Hmm, I see Joel as Anakin Skywalker, Michelle as Samara from "The Ring", Kendra as Lilo with Stitch, and I forget which character as Dr. Phil.
Oh, and the last panel was so sweet.

That's Aaron as Dr. Phil. I actually had my concerns that people might not recognize him in that costume - with a mustache and without the hair and glasses, he really looks nothing like himself.

The last strip was the best part, it could remind you of a bad Nickleback song

Yeah, but Hulk didn't come out 'til 2003. (And even then, Steve hated it.)

Lilo, Anakin and Spiderman are obvious. Im pretty sure that's Samara from the Ring. But who's the bald guy in the suit supposed to be?

Her name is Sadako in the original Japanese version of Ringu.
