Description
DA newcomer has been extremely supportive of my underwater art - and why shouldn't he? He's pretty awesome at it himself. In fact, as an act of gratitude for the help I gave him in getting set up around here, he sent me an excellent underwater drawing of my own Maxine Mink (EDIT: Which has now been posted in his gallery! [link] ). Now, I usually keep my underwater stuff separate from the BarbozaToons (with the occasional exception), but with such great inspiration, I couldn't not draw my own take on the same thing. So here's a submerged Maxine, sitting pretty at a table for two on the ocean floor. Care to join her? Thanks again, !

Maybe I will spend Runt the Fox over to be your date, but by that, his boyfriend, Francis will throw a fit to him! Love it!

Haha, I had to check to see if you'd done this already, because I was thinking of something similar for our trade.
Though I think seeing this has given me an even better idea!

Glad to know you've familerised with another fellow underwater artist, JB - and I dare say you've really handled the knack of the dodge and burn tools for the water effect. It's Faboo!

Telling me you did this in a single day? Whoa.
Anyway, this pic's going to give me a great shot of her as a model for possible later pieces (though I already got her "garderobe" series).
If only she could lose the smoke... Oh well - can't complain - it's very nice!
Thanks again!

Well, keep in mind that Maxine is supposed to be a creation of the 1950s, back when everyone smoked - even cartoon characters.
Glad you like it, though!

Oh, I see. You're really going for that Femme Fatale look. I'm sure she would be great in a Bond flick (like you've made her in your piece "Spy and Spy Again").
See ya.
