Description
Out of all five Marvin the Martian cartoons, "The Hasty Hare" [link] seems to be the one people talk about the least, despite the fact that it's really funny. Ben Washam animated most of it, and I've always liked his animation style - his poses and facial expressions were some of the funniest and strongest in all of Chuck Jones' cartoons. Marvin's frustrated little conniption after Bugs dupes him ("Oh! That wasn't a bit nice!") is a particularly hilarious bit of work.Related content

It was the way he just kind of shuffled around for a bit that got me.
I don't know why it's as funny as it is.

Washam animated THE ENTIRETY of "Rabbit Rampage". That's how talented he was.

Great drawing of Marvin and Bugs, two of my favorite Looney Tune characters.

Ahha. I knew it. Since I was looking at your first pictures, I knew: the drawing style I know you from somewhere. Now I realize it: you have an excellent Looney Tunes characters of styles. Now I realize why he liked me for most images so well.
Thank you. Without this plan I would still grope in the dark on.

Agreed. And then of course there's my second favourite scene next to the one you mentioned: "Let's have no more mutiny!"
Missed your LT stuff, Jesse. No foolin'

Kind of a shame this one isn't as well known. It's got that definite Marvin characterization that's used so much today.

I agree. "Hasty Hare" is my favorite Bugs/Marvin pairing. I'm glad its on the Platinum Collection. Check the Freleng caricature "I. Frisby", at the end of the cartoon.
As for this sketch - well done (like most of your stuff)!
You've captured their personalities perfectly!

My favorite part of that one was the tags on the straightjackets: "One Over-Confident Earth Creature" and "Two Disgruntled Martians"

That's one of my favorite Looney Tunes quotes ever, along with "You know this means war!" You capture the Looney Tune style really nicely.

The Hasty Hare, for some reason, is the Martian cartoon I've seen least frequently. It is a good one, and I've always liked Washam's art too.

I love Bugs' reaction after he sees Marvin disintegrate that boulder in order to "persuade" Bugs to go with him.
Also, the little hissy fit walk Marvin does is hilarious.
