Description In between commissions, I was struck with the inspiration for another entry in the Underwater Cuties of Toontown (incidentally, I haven't forgotten about the four remaining free requests - it's just taking me a while to get to them). I already drew Marge for the first series, so I knew Lisa was a given for this one - and then I decided, hey, I'm a Simpsons geek, why not throw a few of her friends in there too?

The scenario is thus: Alex Whitney hosts a pool party at her house, but the kids are a little overwhelmed by her upscale lifestyle and aren't sure how to act. Distraught, Alex again turns to Lisa for advice on how to get her guests to actually do something, and Lisa says that all the kids need is an opportunity to be their natural playful selves. Of course, Alex has no idea how to inspire such behavior - until she missteps and falls in the pool with her clothes on. The rest of the kids think it's hilarious and jump in after her, finally loosening up. A mortified Alex sinks to the bottom of the pool in embarrassment - until Lisa and Alison Taylor dive in after her, and she realizes that her that her party has finally become fun after all.

Alex’s hat holding on underwater is like a police car flipping upside down but the lightbar is miraculously still in one piece

Seriously even Grampa knows how to have more fun!

I love it.. My favorite episodes with Simpsons are when Lisa is the center.. And Alex really should come back i the show. Lisa Kudrow voiced her prefectly

I love how feathery Lisa's hair is in this water setting! Great story behind the art, 2!

Jessica Lovejoy is more in Simpspin's territory, if you know who that is.

Well, Jessica really isn't in the same clique, although I'm sure if I thought about it for a while, I could come up with an underwater scenario for her too.

Very cool scene and love the backstory, too. Would work very well as an actual Simpsons Comic (it'd never survive as a TV Ep, anyway).

Yeah, it seems more like a "Simpsons Comics"-type scenario - on the show itself, it'd probably feel like too much of a rehash of "Lard of the Dance". (And besides, the show hasn't given Alison or Alex any major roles since their introduction anyway - that's what comes with getting one-time guest stars for characters like this, I suppose.)

This one is very lovely, and that is an interesting premise. Um... you drew them very well, with wonderful colors.
