Description
Ah the ESRB; with just a couple of words, you give the consumer a basic idea of what they're getting themselves into with every video game purchase...! Of course, it's not just video games where you have to be wary of the content; same goes for the stuff you watch too! I decided to draw little images describing the three biggest offenders, featuring Shadow the Hedgehog, Zero Two, and "that pervy Inkling girl OC of mine that devoted watchers will instantly recognize"! Ms. Accord's there just to add a little pizzazz to the whole thing, and I'll come up with something for that empty space soon enough. For now, you can laugh at the meme spouted by Shadow, and cringe in fear of the other two!Edit 5/13/2018: Finally filled in that empty space on the side, with a little something I like to call the "Severity Meter"! Because sometimes a little bit of any of the aforementioned content shouldn't necessarily render something unplayable/unwatchable. And yes, the meter IS based on The Ultimate Choice from Kirby Star Allies (and yes I have been talking about that game a lot these days!)! It should make the drawing feel more complete and overall make it more interesting!

What do ya mean sometimes? Other than Lillie Quidd's existence or Zero (Two) of course. Aside from those exceptions, I keep things clean on my page.
I don't really care what you put in your gallery, as long as you don't try and advertise it.

Well, the E10 rating was created for video games that had some T-rated territory and also not. I kind of see the rating as just a way to get those things you mentioned without any consequences. A game can have some dark moments, questionable language, sexy-looking characters and still be E10. This is a time when a kid's show can have a lesbian couple and so much more.

I'm aware of how E10+ is essentially a middle ground between E & T. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's a loophole the developers are trying to pull, the ESRB is a third party from all game companies. The usual reason a lot of Nintendo's games have been E10+ recently is mainly because people are realizing just how intense the fights in most of their games can get without the loss (or very minimal amounts) of blood.
Cartoons and games can't be compared on that topic; that's more along the lines of creative differences between creators, not an entire industry. Just because Steven Universe does it, doesn't mean everyone else will.

You sure? The ESRB seems to be okay with this in a Kirby game that was rated KA or as it's known in the modern times, E.

I mean, I have this video game that I want to produce, I don't want to reveal to much about it, but it's a Super Mario 3D World-style platformer with the last level being this dark and frightening and a lot of other things. It has lakes of blood, a castle with human eyes that bleed out blood to the lakes, a lab where you can see colorless "corpuses" being turned into alive and evil, and that's where the final boss is and she's uses these attacks where she dodges your attack by splitting in half (similar to Marx) if you're to slow to act. That's just the last level. Some of the normal enemies and mini bosses and other certain characters are sentient objects and vehicles. The ones that are affiliated with evil I designed to show actual human organs inside them because they were basically abandoned things but with the power of those organs, they were broght to life by them. Also, you know how in New Super Mario Bros. Wii,2, and U and in Super Mario 3D World, when your characters dies, they are brought back in a bubble so they player can come back to what they think is a safe area to respawn? I thought of having that in my game to, but rather than a bubble, it's their soulless corpus being moved by a character with a hand with an eye ball in it's palm that I nicknamed Glove-eye. Once the player selected a safe area to pick up, Glove-eye put's their character's corpus on the floor, summons their soul back to them by snapping his fingers, and brings it back to the character. I also created some character who are chubby, fat, and are able to inflate when attacked like an airbag. I know those sound kind of fetish-related, but Totally Spies has been having close to being fetish things happening in that show, and nobody cared a bit. There wouldn't be any swearing in the game, I thought of the characters saying things like "You Yippin' jerk!" or something like that. I When I get this game finished and get it ready to be published and things, I hope this gets an E10 rating. I thought that theses would fly with the ESRB just putting out descriptors along with the rating. Especially when my favorite video game Undertale has an E10 rating.

If you don't know, it's a game where a fish woman fights you and while you dodge her attacks, she tells you to stop being so DAMN resilient, a deceptively cute flower tells the main character that where she is is either a "Kill or be Killed" world, a skeleton tells you that you're better of burning in hell, A king wanting to kill 7 humans and use their souls to break a barrier that keeps them stuck in the underground, a girl weaboo lizard scientist falls in love with that fish woman from earlier in some kind of lesbian way, that flower from earlier takes six of the seven human souls and turns into this weird monster that tries to attack you with vines, bombs, flamethrowers, negative-sounding words, flies, teeth-thingies, a gun, pans with fire, ballet shoes, knives, gloves, and a bunch of other things. But on the other side it's not all that doom and gloom, it still has an innocent side to it with characters that care for the protagonist, and would want to be the protagonist's friend. It's mostly has some cute humor and things like that. I bet if the game had a little bit more darkness to it, it would have had a T rating, but I don't really know.
Also, the ESRB should have a concrete way of rating games. For example, with the Shantae series, the latest game, 1/2 Genie hero has been rated T for teen. That sound like it isn't much of a big deal, but when you realize that the previous game were in the E-E10 range, you wonder how this game was rated, especially when those games and this game has the EXACT same things in it. Sure, those were made in a time with not that much controversy, but if those games could have gotten an E10 rating, so could of this one. It's like the ESRB forgot that a game can have close to being sexy characters and still be rated E10.
It's like I said, this is a time when we don't have to talk down to kids and treat them more as just unexperienced adults. Isn't that all what kids are? Don't those kids have too learn about serious issues anyway? Then why not when the don't know that much about the world yet?

Kirby games never get too violent, but they're violent enough to warrant a higher rating than E.
That's way too much to be E10+. Nintendo tends to a bit more subtle with their darker moments; the Shadow Temple in Ocarina of Time was creepy, but there was no lake of blood, that's for certain.
Who hasn't heard of Undertale?
You can pretty much blame Giga Mermaid for that T rating...
Times may change, parenting shouldn't.

I mean, I get your thing but I thought blood lake would just be considered "animated blood". It's not a realistic depiction of blood and it's not coming from anything too gorey. What makes the things I would be having in my dream video game be to much to be too much for an E10 rating? In my opinion, they don't seem that dark for a T rating, but I'm happy to see what you think about them and why they would be too much for an E10 rating. I think that a game can have dark/ suggestive/ questionable moments and still be for kids and/or be rated E10. I just thought that since how far we got with "kid's shows" and "kid's games" my game wouldn't be an exception with the others. But like I said, feel free to explain why what I would like to put in the game probably won't make it have an E10 rating.

You have to learn how to moderate your content; maybe pay more attention to how Nintendo makes their games if you want it to fall under a specific category.
...You may also want to moderate how long your comments are. I mean I don't like really short comments, but really long ones are a chore to read and reply to.

But only for violence; and probably because back then they didn't think to censor the area under Peach's dress... (yet Suggestive Themes was not in the content description) You'll notice SSB4 and Ultimate are E10+ rather than T, but have the characters using more powerful attacks than before.

Yes it was; the bump from E to E10+ possibly due to Zero/Zero Two, as Animated Blood is one of the content descriptors.

I know. It surprised me to hear him say that in a kids show, which actually resulted in my headcanon for him: He's optimistic, a bit of a goof, and swears A LOT. His age is 17 years old. He only feels extreme emotional pain when he experiences something incredibly tragic such as the death of a friend.

Meta Knight doesn't seem like the goofy type, and aside from when a dire situation is thrust upon him, I don't imagine him cussin' a lot either. He sounds too old for 17, I'd say late 20s at the youngest. The optimism sounds fine, but Meta Knight is probably low-key about it.

But my depiction of him is kinda like the stereotypical cussy teen.
