"JBX9001, two memes in one week?! What's the dealio, brah"?! Well, I do apologize, but I couldn't resist... Anyways, so this meme entails that I categorize something within the realm of overrated, underrated, etc. I chose video games (BIG SURPRISE!!), and here's the reason for each of my picks:Good - Kirby (series): To be completely honest, I would've picked Super Mario, but keep in mind Kirby comes in at second place! And considering how many video game franchises I DO like, that's quite an accomplishment! There is just so much to like about this wonderful series; every character is great, the world of Dream Land is breathtaking (particularly in newer installments), the battles are epic as hell, the anime was pretty good, and the games as a whole are just incredible (and also, not a single one is bad; and I've pretty much played them all except Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble, so I speak from experience)! Plus the fandom is just near perfection! Legend of Zelda was a third option for this choice.
Overrated - Undertale: I REALLY did try to refrain from picking Undertale for this; trust me, I really did. Calling this game overrated has probably been so "overused" by now, especially since Cuphead seems to be the "trending game" at the moment... However, to say something is overrated is to acknowledge that it possesses quality to begin with. Maybe not enough to warrant its status, but I can safely say it does look like time and effort was put into Undertale (plus I've gotten newfound respect for it after learning that it was not only inspired by Earthbound, but the Mario & Luigi games as well; and I FREAKIN' LOVE THOSE GAMES!! ) If those "particular fans" didn't shove it in everyone's face, I'm sure it wouldn't have garnered the hate it does get.
Underrated - Puyo Puyo (series): If you didn't see this coming, you must be new to my gallery... It's no secret here that I'm a big fan of Puyo Puyo, and for good reason! This series can be pretty darn hilarious, and puzzle games usually don't put a lot of emphasis on story (or even have one) like this one does. I'm particularly fond of its unique art style as well, and every character is pretty entertaining, weird quirks and all! I've said this like a dozen times already, but definitely check this series out if you haven't!
Neutral - Shovel Knight: I've heard the game is pretty good; but I wouldn't call it underrated, 'cuz evidently the guy's popular enough to have been voted for in the Smash Ballot for SSB4 three years ago (d*** time flies!). At the same time, there's no influx of rabid fanboys or flood of fan art either, so it's not overrated. And it's certainly not hated. I may try it out sometime, maybe not... Who knows? But I will acknowledge its worth.
Overhated - Paper Mario: Sticker Star: The flames have long since died out from this topic, but the fact remains; Sticker Star caused quite a commotion on its day of release; and it definitely wasn't a good one... To put it in perspective, I can see why people dislike it in the first place. The original trilogy were masterpieces, and for me, they are a big part as to why the Super Mario series is my number one favorite video game franchise of all-time! And all was well and good in the Mario fandom. But then this drops, and it's a MAJOR step back from everything that made the previous Paper Mario games so special. Fans felt betrayed, heartbroken, and were in utter disbelief; but they blew it out of proportion. I myself gave the game a chance, and I pretty much liked it enough to 100% it and I still own it (and will probably replay it again sometime). Everyone else was demanding Miyamoto be fired and whatnot, and when you try to get the creator of the whole frikkin' series kicked off, that's overhating, my friend! Don't get me started on the Color Splash drama...!
Underhated - Build 'n Race : None of you will know what this is, I don't expect you to know what it is, and I certainly would not recommend this game! The only reason I am aware of its existence is because my cousin got it for my youngest brother on Christmas many years ago. I don't blame her, she's not a gamer, and the prospect of building your own race tracks DOES sound good. But this is THE blandest, most uninteresting game I have ever played for myself, especially when time could be better spent on the Wii playing stuff like New Super Mario Bros. Wii! It's so obscure, as of today, only TWO people have scored it on Metacritic , and it's been out for eight years! And then there's a glitch my other brother found where if you just go back and forth across the finish line, you cause the other players to explode and automatically win; I AM NOT JOKING!
Bad - Flame Hyenard: Okay, I have no idea what to put here that hasn't been said before, so here's Flame Hyenard from Mega Man X7. Don't know why I put him here? Welllllllllllllllllll... The only good thing to come out of him is that he's the perfect reaction to fetish art!

Undertale: never played it but I looked into it because the gameplay reminds me of the bullet hell genre of games like DoDonpachi but I din't feel like playing due to loss of interest.
Build n' Race: I remember playing that on my older cousins house on the Wii years ago. It sucked due to the controls honestly.
Flame Hyenard: Considering the fact I suck at MegaMan games and played X7 before (though my big bro get further than me), I can see why.

Alright, I'll respond to each of these:
Good - Kirby:
100% Agree. In fact, I'll argue that the Kirby Games are some of the Best Nintendo's Made, Next to the Mario Games. Each Couple of Years it feels like they're trying to 1-Up each other, yet end up neck-in-neck.
Overrated - Undertale:
Absolutely with you on this one. However, I'll go a step further and say the Game's not as good as people think it is. Yes, great Nostalgia for a Video Game, but I don't expect this game to age well. Come 2020 or 2025, this game will likely be just another distant memory.
Underrated - Puyo Puyo Series:
Honestly, I have never heard of this series of Games until I saw a Puyo Puyo Tetris tourament at Nashicon 2018. Holy Smokes, that was the most-watched Tournament at the entire Convention! though honestly, I'll need to do more research on this series of Games before I give it an honest opinion. And judging by the amount of Puyo Puyo Art on your Profile Here, You really like it.
Overhated - Paper Mario: Sticker Star:
Someone Actually agrees with me that Sticker Star and Color Splash are not as bad as people think? FINALLY!
I'm serious, Both of these Games are Good! Sure they have flaws, but overall, The Experience overall makes them Great Games on their own. But NO, Nintendo Fanboys gave it the Other M Treatment and have tossed both of them out as pieces of Garbage, and don't even consider them Canon. And the Fact that People PETITIONED to have Color Splash CANCELLED makes my Blood Boil to a Full-Scale Eruption! Both Games leave me worried Not for Nintendo, since I know what they're trying to do with the Paper Mario Series, and honestly, I'm fine with it. Instead, I'm more worried about the Nintendo Fanbase. Have Nintendo Fans Fallen into the Dark Well of Entitlement in terms of Video Games? What happened to Nintendo Fans being all about just enjoying the Entertainment that Video Games Bring? Or did that get thrown out the Window?

I've never even seen the Game, so I'll add that to my "NEVER BUY. PERIOD." List.
Bad - Flame Hyenard:
Dude, You may just put Mega Man X7 as the Bad entirely. That Game is One Piece of BURNING GARBAGE. X6 is far better than X7, and will always be. X6 had great ideas done poorly. X7 had Bad Ideas that were thrown in anyway.
Nevertheless, Flame Hyenard deserves all the hate he gets. Annoying as FUCK, but not that difficult to beat. (Then again, you could say that for every Maverick in X7.) But yeah, at least he makes the perfect reaction to fetish art. Stuff like that makes me sick to my stomach and head.
Overall, I've offered my response, So I'm looking to more stuff from you.

Seems like it! Those two game franchises always meet (or exceed) my expectations!
Most likely; it's getting a port on Switch, which might help it last longer. But without a sequel (which I doubt will happen), I agree it might wind up being forgotten by everyone except the most devoted of fans.
And there's definitely a reason I draw Puyo Puyo so much; I'd definitely start with Puyo Puyo Tetris (Which I technically did do, it's my first time actually playing a game from the series)! Just be careful about competitive play should you actually accept my recommendation; you've got people who've been playing the Japanese imports of older games (and thus are more experienced) going against people who were just recently introduced to the series. It's not a pretty picture...
Yes, you are not alone dude! Unfortunately it seems these days most veteran gamers are rather spoiled. I mean, criticism on the game is one thing; trying to start a petition to get it cancelled just makes Nintendo more likely to ignore them, or worse, fans in general! And that's another thing; I can't take petitions seriously anymore, the fanboys have tarnished the purpose of them, and they never work. Just recently saw some quack who had a petition intended to make Nintendo cancel the Kirby series. Y'know, pretty much one of their top four franchises with a great record of quality and the aforementioned near-perfect fandom?
A wise decision!
I pretty much could have, huh? The boss cutscenes are a source of humor for me, but I'm certain playing the game would yield a much different reaction... I'm just wondering is the constant shouting a glitch or completely intentional? And definitely, it's as if "those artists" don't care about their own reputation!

I have the physical PS4 and Vita versions of Undertale (my sister got me the PS4 version after I already purchased the Vita version for myself; might as well keep it, but the Vita version IS PSTV compatible). Never got to spend much time with it since I had other games on my mind, but maybe someday, I'll sit down with it.
But I will agree that the fanbase can be a bit too rabid at times.

Yeah, they released it on the PS4 and the Vita last year. Fangamer handled the physical releases of those, and hey, I prefer having physical copies of games, so hey, why not?
Some stuff had to be changed to accomodate the differing hardware and standards, but I hear it's pretty much the same game; if you weren't convinced on PC, you won't be convinced here.
I, as someone who had never played it on PC, appreciated the opprotunity to play it on something that wouldn't fry itself, so it's just a matter of actually being able to sit down with it.

My main plan is to go with Pacifist. Though my brother pointed out that due to me owning both the Vita and PS4 versions, if I wanted to do the genocide route, I could do so in one version, and then go the pacifist route in the other version and not be blocked off.
I also have to note that the trophies are hilarious. The creator didn't want an achievement system in the game, thus why the PC version didn't have one, but Sony said he had to put trophies in. His response was to make it so that you can get all of them no matter what route you're going, and some hilarious descriptions.
