Here's one of the entries of the artist 's Link contest. We have to draw him in a different costume.Back story:
I know that this was probably a popular concept for people as a new costume for Link, But I don't care! Seriously...doesn't anyone else think it was stupid for him that whenever he was in the Snow worlds in any of the Zelda games that he wouldn't be a little cold?? He always wore his green tunic in the ice fields and yet never got cold?!? Come on! Who was the genius who didn't think of this idea??
Ahem....
This is Winter Link. I thought he could use a wicked fur costume that kept him warm and a new tool to use: The Ice Pick. This would help him climb mountain edges and the steel toed boots would also be of use. Wouldn't that be great in game play?? Then he wouldn't frickin' slip everywhere!! I used brown and blue/gray colors cause I thought that would be appropriate for the winter climate.
Maybe now he can be warmer!

I try. It just can take bloody forever sometimes. This is why I sometimes hate digital art, cause people can get something done in a few hours that with traditional media can finish in like a week...or a month...or ever a year!!

This is pretty cool. I could totally see Link wearing this in a Legend of Zelda. The colors and design are very appropriate for what you were trying to achieve, so kudos to you.

Thank you. I really enjoyed coming up with the clothing design. and if you look at all of my Links, each one always has the Triforce sign on their clothing. I wanted to add that as a personal touch.
