Just had an episode of sleep paralysis a couple nights ago, and according to folk stories and metaphysical stuffs it's caused by demons or spirits not letting you move.I know the scientific reason for it but I want to belieeeeeveeee.
Also I brought the red demon back!

I just had it few moments ago. This one was people walking around my room and I try to call them, but I can't utter a word. Sometimes I would get worried someone would attack me. I felt like crying when I woke up because I was worried I might be still paralyzed and would end up finding myself lying on my bed again.

I've had lucid dreams and in them, I try to call people's attention to the fact I am dreaming and that they are part of my dream, but they say I am mistaken. Too often I got so excited, I woke myself up !
Β Β Β I also have had about 4 nightmares in my life, and let the memory of themΒ die with me !Β

Ugh, sleep paralysis >_< My girlfriend suffers from this sometimes. One time she was over at my house and I was playing a game while she was taking a nap and all of a sudden her eyes open but she like wasnt moving and i said something like "hello sleepyhead!" and she didnt say anything but like her eyes were moving around and I was so freaked out dude. I was calling to her and shaking her a little and right as i was going to call the paramedics she broke out of it. Worst experience of my life.

I know that lore! One creature I know of that causes sleep paralysis is the mare, a mythical creature found around north of Europe! The word "nightmare" come from this creature in fact, as it appear at night time and ride(non-sexual) on people and objects, and cause nightmares and sleep paralysis.
Other northern languages have words for "nightmare" with the word "mare" in them too!

Me too! I know a bunch about it!
The mares did not just ride on people, they also rode animals, and even objects! Trees with branches that were bent strangely were explained to have been caused by the mares. Or horses that were exhausted in the morning!
A teacher of mine also told me all mares are female! And feline! Also similar to werewolves - unawarely transformed into beast-like creatures that do things out of their control. They can get into rooms through keyholes and other openings!

It's happened to me when I was in different places and positions once it occurred while I was asleep, i dreamed I was at home sleeping on my dresser than I couldn't get up and awoke in my desk at school. Total bizzaro moment.
