Description
Another shot from Hoarfrost Wonderland, taken in December on the grounds of the country-house of Groeneveld near Baarn in the Netherlands. How different a scene from that summer-morning world which you can see on my most frequently viewed shot on this gallery:

Your pictures are so much above anything else I see here on DA, that I don't know what to write in comments. So I'll just browse through and give you tons of +favs

Great composition, did you actually wait for the Sun to light it from this angle? From this view, the shadows make it look as if it was moving to the right

You are right about effect of seemingly moving to the right. Very well observed. Indeed fascinating.

I just kept taking pictures, I think, more than 300, in about 2 hours. So I started when the sun came up and at about this point told myself that it was time to go home! A lot of people were turning up, too.

That is beautiful.
Mother Nature can give us some great scenes, and you capture them wonderfully.

This was an amazing atmospheric event, you captured it beautifully. Too bad they don't come along more often. Well done.

Perhaps we enjoy them so much, because they only happen so seldom. Thanks a lot for your enthusiastic reaction.

You're most welcome. That's absolutely true, a little more often would be nice though, I haven't seen one like this in years.

That would be such a lovely place to ride a horse or bike, or just take a lovely long walk.

It is a great place to do all three. And if you look closely at my stuff, quite a lot of my shots come from these grounds.

Yes, these two days were a great present to photographers. Immediately after sunrise it was ok, but then the place swarmed with them.

Thanks a lot. I regularly only use an UV-filter to shield the lense and certainly will have done so here.
