Dear friends,In a few hours' time I shall go to the hospital. I shall be strengthened by the love of my dear wife and children and these sunshine eyes of our little grand-daughter. AND your thoughts and prayers will be wih me too!
I must admit that I had hesitated at first whether I should tell you at all about my heart problems and the treatment of today. Now I am ever so glad that I did not keep it to myself. All your wonderful reactions, your stories and good wishes, so full of love and empathy, have deeply, very deeply moved me, both on Redbubble and here on deviantArt. Yes, they have brought tears to my eyes. You are really a great crowd, folks!
Of course I would love to thank each and any one of you personally for your wonderful words. There are so many of them, however, that I cannot do so on this very early morning hour when sleep evades me.
But let me express my thanks in another way. I know that there are very many among you who have always wanted me to show you another picture of that little girl who is bringing so much sunshine into our lives. As you know I do not consider my galleries as a personal photo album - I cannot help being a bit of a purist here, I am afraid -, but today is the day, I think, to take another exception and show you a recent picture of hers. Actually I took it just a week ago on my birthday when I crossed the line to 66.
So may her lovely little face tell your of my gratefulness and love towards you all! Ever so many thanks to each one of you.

Wat een lief meisje! En een mooie opname.
Omdat ik een hele grote achterstand heb met het beantwoorden van berichten en bekijken van nieuwe deviations (ben wat de laatste betreft nu eindelijk 'bij'
Voorlopig zullen we dus niet kunnen genieten van al je prachtige natuur opnamen. Maar wat natuurlijk veel belangrijker is, is dat je weer gezond thuis zult komen. Bij je dierbaren.
Ik hoop van ganzer harte dat je hier goed doorheen zult komen en zal ik gedachten bij je zijn! Heel veel sterkte!!!

Heel hartelijk dank ook voor jouw goede wensen. Intussen ben ik dus weer thuis, maar nu met het vooruitzicht van een meer of minder grote ingreep. Het voelt niet echt lekker, uiteraard niet. Ik ben wel blij dat ik hier zo veel geweldige steunbetuigingen heb gekregen. Dat is werkelijk heel goed voor mijn ziel.
Verder wacht ik nu af wat de heren in Amsterdam zullen voorstellen ...

Fijn om een persoonlijk bericht te krijgen. Ik heb het een aantal keren van nabij meegemaakt en weet daardoor inderdaad dat het een angstig bezit is - een hart met zo'n aandoening.
Maar ik hoop echt dat je sterk genoeg (zowel lichamelijk als geestelijk) zult zijn om door deze moeilijke tijd heen te komen! Ja, nu zul je het inderdaad over moeten geven aan 'de heren in Amsterdam', en die zijn gelukkig heel kundig. Heb vertrouwen in een goede afloop.
Ik hoop voor de dat er snel gehandeld kan worden, zodat je er niet al te lang 'tegenaan zult moeten hikken'. Probeer wat afleiding te vinden.. Heel veel sterkte!!!!!!

Ja, misschien zijn het in Amsterdam wel dames. Maar dat terzijde. Ik wacht nu geduldig af en probeem mijn buitenlust wat te temmen. Die is er gelukkig nog steeds.

Ja natuurlijk, dat zou maar zo kunnen. Ik had beter 'mensen' in Amsterdam kunnen zeggen.
Fijn om te horen dat de buitenlust er nog steeds is! Als alles achter de rug is hoop ik dat je weer volop energie zult hebben om er samen met je camera op de fiets op uit zult kunnen trekken!

As to the hospital, I just keep waiting for the proposal what to do. In the meantime I am doing reasonably well with the medication.

Children and grandchildren are a joy aren't they? Such unconditional love...well as long as the meds are helping, we cross our fingers and wait don't we. Continuing to think of you in my prayers.

The only remaining worry concerns the limitations of the life afterwards. I just liked to roam around for hours and do not yet know whether I should risk that or not. But that will solve itself!
