Description
This was a particular sort of mushroom, standing at the foot of a large beech tree. Never saw them before or again.Taken near Hilversum/The Netherlands

This is a very nice picture of a very common mushroom: Armillaria mellea (Honey Mushroom, in Dutch: Echte honingzwam).
This mushroom is fruiting typically in large clusters, but sometimes it grows singly on wood or buried wood. It grows saprophytic and often parasitic on trees and shrubs. Rhizomorphs (thickened strands of mycelium) which aid in the spread of the fungus, can be seen under the bark of affected trees.
On this picture the cap looks already very yellowish. Younger mushrooms are often more yellowish-brown (colour of honey).

Heb je gehoord dat er zoveel paddestoelen uit de bossen geplukt worden voor de verkoop!

De natuur heeft ze nodig en wij als fotografen natuurlijk ook!!!
Maar hoe krijg je de mensen zover dat ze de natuur met rust moeten laten en er alleen met hun ogen van zouden moeten genieten?
Als mensen $-tekens zien, dan is verder niets meer heilig! Helaas.
