Description
Ever see those statues and busts of unnamed warriors all around the Imperium of Man? Who were those guys and what did they do to get their own statue? Here’s an example of one such hero and what he had to go through to receive the honor of being remembered in an empire where the vast majority of the dead are forgotten as quickly as possible.

This is a new addition to a series of 40k fanart I’ve done where I take a character from each faction and walk with them throughout their life, watching as they change and get stronger over time. This time we’re doing the Astra Militarum, and here is how a lowly vehicle pilot becomes a celebrated saint of the Imperial Creed. This is also the first time when the character is deliberately named, and also the story telling format is different given that each time I like to change things up just a bit.

Special thanks to Igor on my Scornful Tides discord; I had wanted to do something with the Militarum but I didn’t know how to “scale up” the character when they were probably just going to be a normal sized human their whole life. But then Igor proposed the “tank” idea and all the pieces fell in place. Thanks a ton for the idea!
