Awhile ago I did a depiction of the 40k abhuman species called "ratlings" and it drew a lot of negative feedback from the audience; specifically towards the over the top attempt to make them look as inhuman as possible. My excuse was that I didn't think I could make "space hobbits" really grim dark, but then I was inspired to take another swing at them and see if I could make them look like sniper halflings and still succeed at the dark aesthetic. How did I Do? do you like this depiction better?

Also, there's a bonus shot in my stash. The Ratling with the hood off!

Still gruesome but with that human angle still there.
