Neptune, usually the eighth planet from the Sun, is a very cold place. Occasionally, Pluto crosses Neptuneβs orbit and becomes the eight planet. Β Its bluish color comes from its atmosphere of methane gas.Neptune has several dark rings and 14 moons.

Neptune is a gas giant, yes. The blue color is associated with water in the clouds of the upper atmosphere. Some of the fastest winds in the solar system can be found blowing around the planet at over 600MPH. Also, its moon, Triton, is among the coldest places around the sun at near absolute zero on the dark side of the tiny world.
