Description
I saw that a few people liked the Samus drawing I did for the Video game store, so while in between postings, I found the art file on the computer. I included the line work. Just for fun. Again, inked with both quill and brush. Colored in Adobe Illustrator CS3Related content

Sure. How do you do inking? Is it not too hard to do? You made it look great.

I enjoy inking mainly with a brush. I use a Windsor Newton #00, up to a #2. If I am doing a metallic object I use a quill pen. It gives the line work a different feel. As for how, it is a lot of practice. Looking a comic book artists, and figuring out what they did. When looking at their work, try not to get lost in the whole image, but look at 1 object and see what t hey did. Something to try doing is using some good tracing paper, and put a picture, or a pencil drawing under it. Then figure out what to do. Use some good smooth tracing paper. The cheap stuff is mainly for pencil work, or using to put a protective sheet over your art. You are looking for tracing paper that feels smooth. Similar to plate bristol paper.

Thank you very much for all the tips! I'm looking to start trying out inking sometime soon and this will really help out. Once again, thank you, and I wish you continued luck in improving in your own art.
