Keeping up with my alternate take on franchises, here's Medieval Metroid. I suppose it could be "Lady Samus," though the concept I'd started with was "lady who disguises herself as a man" except that doesn't really work here if you can see Samus's breastplate. So I guess Samus is just a very unorthodox bounty hunter who goes on quests provided by mysterious one-eyed strangers in taverns.

I was (roughly) going for one of those 70's era ultra-detailed fantasy book covers, like the Hildebrant Brothers and others would do. The original plan was to go for the scene being in more of a jungle ruin, but I decided that didn't make sense. Ridley makes for an obvious dragon, but I could not think of a medieval equivalent for Metroids. I had to again use my method of combining a digital and a colored version of the same drawing--I prefer colored versions, but they so often come out as speckled-looking and horrible,
