Description
The end of the train I rode here, look at all that chrome
The train derailed here at the museum and I think I was told it can no longer leave the property because of that. BNSF wanted to fix this train up for them before the derailment and use it for their OCS once in awhile.
The train also derailed back in the 1940's when the Train of the Goddesses derailed at speed into the Downers Grove, IL train station killing 3 people.

Awesome photo! Looking for a book cover for 1940's stories. What are your terms and conditions?

That's one awesome train - worthy of preservation!
I presume it didn't derail while you were on it. I would have to ask, was it the track, is it a design flaw, or was it lack of maintenance?

Did you get to ride in the Obs car? The reclining, rotating seats are really comfy!

No, I was with 4 of my friends, and most of us got separated, 2 of them called me to tell me they were on the train so I had to rush out there find another friend who was separated and we got on just before it took off, there wasn't an empty seat in the back where the ac was working too, so I was in the middle.

That's too bad, but the whole train is great. I haven't ridden in that obs car since 1996.
