Fresh from destroying an otherwise quite sophisticated civilization because their brownies were not crumbly enough, Lord Beerus was cruising through space in short of more food and worlds to grace with suitably violent ends. And then bang! Ghost hands! Angry red ones, completely immune to even the rage of the God of Destruction and possessed of just as much mercy as their victim had himself shown for the trillions he had immolated. Lord Beerus raged and twisted in the silent blackness between the stars, spewing out every blow and curse he could recall, unable to accept that he was powerless. Perhaps Whis might have helped him, if the blue-skinned divine butler hadn't assumed his master must have just drifted off to another 50-year nap...
