It appears I've misjudged you.
Not going through the DDs sooner, it appears I left words of encouragement to someone who may not have deserved it.
To say such things... I'm actually appalled. We all have our own opinions, and yes sometimes we get frustrated with people, but I like to think we have self control inside of us to either keep our harsher ideas to ourselves, or to follow the policy if one has a problem with DDs. It has been said time and time again where to take your negative comments (as Daily Deviations are supposed to be a gift the receiver can be proud of, and take pleasure in... not to be bashed by someone lacking common curtsey and respect) and that is why =andshedreamed became upset. This is photograph is not something planned and done within 30 minutes: this took lots of time and effort of which the photographer should be applauded and recognized, not degraded or affronted.
Also, it wasnβt as if this photographer asked for the DD. =JeanFan was gifted the DD by someone who suggested it, and then another who featured it because they were obviously inspired by her work, and wanted to share that inspiration with the deviantART community. I do not see how your dislike of this being given a DD will do anything on this page. For future reference, should you ever find yourself not agreeing with a decision for a Daily Deviation, I would take it to the FAQ link =JeanFan provided, where your opinions will actually be in the correct place, and more likely to be read by someone who actually has knowledge and a bit of control over the matter (not that there would be a guarantee of change).

Oh boo hoo.
I believe why Jean Fan had received the Daily Deviation was due to her conception, and her execution. Her lighting is superb, and the colours compliment each other impressively (dusty blue meshed with subtle grey insinuations with a explosion of zealous red highlights the conceptuality).
Yes, it is relatively simple in your eyes, as an individual who is not a photographer. You would not understand a single technique or idea within the photography world β therefore, please do not speak out ignorance or lack of education.
Your photography would not be worthy of a Daily Deviation in any case (not now, in this case)β for example, your βEiffel Towerβ. There is minute lighting; there is an absence of focus and what gives the impression to be not a very decent camera. There are bands in a soft overlay on your photograph. There is a enormous deficiency of colour and it is not very exciting at all.
