Description
A pencil drawing, colored in Photoshop finished April 2007.Star, a superheroine: obviously, she is super strong, hopefully bulletproof, and her star emblems cast light so she can seek out evildoers in pitchest blackness.
Submitted for the April superheroine theme.

The uniform seems old fasion somehow. So is she a mutant or was it a design character?

Can't say about the old fashioned, but she is basically the result of a radioactive pencil line on a mild mannered piece of paper.

Still looks good, and I kind of like it better then most superhero costumes, because they tend to have made something complicated, even if they have never done costumes or attended a sawing class. The kind of annoyed me that way.

Depends how silly you want to be, chief. Realistically - unless she had a mild mannered alter ego... no.
However, you can Treknobabble your way out of it in several ways. For example, the mask might cut it - if it was like the one from Oblivion, which - as the result of complex plot machinations - allowed the user to be unrecognisable when they put it on... even if someone SAW them put it on. So, that would be a real easy solution for you.
Or you could go for a Golden Age Superman excuse and say that she's emitting low level hypnosis that just brain washes everyone into thinking she and her alter ego are different - despite the BLATANT similarities.
Either one of those would let you explain it with a single sentence and no meaningful character alteration/alter ego. Not that I'd complain if there was a transformation.
