Why Smith is white and a redhead? Besides that, cool art. Contra Force was the shit back in the day even with all these lags. Me and my friends didn't even realize it wasn't the part of the main series, but still that was rad game to us.

Thanks for look at the details, Contra Force box art and inside game sprite are quite different, early concept showing Smith was black, and even the box art showing the same. But, when you look at Smith portrait in the game, he's turn white and redhead, and he turn black again at ending scene. I think Konami not really sure about this game

Though Contra Force was lesser known, it's Character roster is still quite memorable.

I was read in some site, actually, Konami not going to give this one Contra title. they don't want to ties this game to Contra series, according to the begining title 'Arc Hound'. but i forget the details of the story at the end, they officially release it under Contra banner and give a name Contra Force. - maybe that can explain why this one is lesser known-

Thanks, and Glad u like it RammPatricia , this was my fav too, i play this one many times when i was kid, and still have the cartridge till now. Beside that, i am big fan of Contra series.
