Description
Finally getting back into the fashion design thing. I'd managed to form myself a bit of a mental block a few months ago, for emotional reasons I'd rather not go into too much detail about. Let's just say I was scared of my future and leave it at that. It's over now. I'm fine~I find working within a set colour pallet to be incredibly rewarding; Iām constantly getting new ideas just from the colours themselves. The fact that a small range of colours can be made into such a dynamic range of combinations is awesome.
GOD I LOVE NAUTICAL THEMED STYLES. <3333

and love that your base models are realistically proportioned too haha

Thanks!
The poses are based off of some images here on dA that I used for reference. I almost always use photo models for the proportions of my bases, I HATE those weird elongated skinny things that come in fashion sketchbooks!

when i was doing textiles at school i used this base model (i was going to link it but the artist seems to of removed it )
because the models body was reasonably proportioned, i had to design a costume for myself, and even though the legs were looooooong, the torso had curves and a bust that matched mine almost perfectly
and my teacher tried to force me to use a skinny elongated base model instead and it was so ridiculous because my costume design was a queen of hearts ballgown and it followed curves, using a skinny base would have eliminated the entire shape of the corset and made the skirt look like a sheet :l
