Description
This is my re-creation of the front cover artwork from the AD&D adventure module A1: Slave Pits of the Undercity. It's one of four color cover pieces that I'm re-creating as part of my last Kickstarter project.---

Ever experience crippling visceral nostalgia? It's like that scene in Ratatouille when the food critic tastes the dish and gets throttled back to his childhood and experiences his happiest memory.Β This is what I get when I see these illustrations after so many years. Thank you Jeff for bringing these back to life. But how am I to get back to work with such nostalgia paralysis? haha

Nice to see more being recreated.
I forget how much you loved contrasting colors.

Haha; first comment! Good to see this reworked, as my copy is a bit battered and faded by now.
I always wondered what was going on with the figure on the right. Obviously I've since become aware of the old belief that dwarf women had beards. Or was it that Redbeard found himself some fancy new quality armour, and thought "It may have been built for a wee lassie, but ahm not too proud ta wear it!"
