Description
This is my re-creation of the front cover artwork from the AD&D adventure module X1: Isle of Dread. It's the last of four color cover pieces that I re-created as part of my recent Kickstarter project. I did each piece by re-creating the black and white, pen & ink line art on illustration board, and then adding watercolors to complete the piece.---
At the end of each of these projects, I always wind up with a few prints left over due to printer overruns. I also still have some of the new originals. If you missed any, from this or any of my previous projects, check here for availability and ordering instructions: www.prismnet.com/unigames/orig…

That is just plain awesome. What ever happened to the days when evocative, fantastical art like this graced the front of Role Playing games? Most of what's out there nowadays is terrible by comparison. I understand that a lot of art is subjective, but I'll take you piece above over most of what's on offer in the market right now. Great work!

Wow, this is awesome. That green creature has always confounded me. This is an island of dinosaurs, but this guys is so obviously NOT a dinosaur with his humanlike body. I was rather disappointed when this guy did not show up in the module. It's a design choice that's maddening and compelling but nonetheless, I can't imagine X1 any other way.

Since I recently played a IoD run with BECM D&D (you may want to check character portraits on my gallery), I really like this. The Italian version of the module came with the replacement Timothy Truman cover, which is kinda good too, but I prefer your take because of the perspective from the landing character's PoV, witnessing a fierce battle to death taking place between natives vs the iconic T-Rex. It really sets up the mood, giving a sense of fear and danger to the viewer - hence the name of the Isle.

Nice to see some of the original D&D art come back to life.

Ah...never has an adventure module claimed so many characters. (Except, perhaps "Tomb of Horrors" )
Many fond memories return. *Bows*
Very much cheers to you and yours.
