Description
This is a new drawing, re-creating my 1980 original from the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons adventure S3: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks (TSR Hobbies, 1980).This was the most difficult drawing to re-create so far, consisting as it does of multiple figures at various scales, with grey tones plus special effects.

Huh.. when I first saw the picture (without reading the description) I thought it was a Gamma World module (also a TSR product around the same time frame).

Totally awesome, I've always wanted to run that adventure but have been too lazy to update it or force everyone to learn 1st edition. Really disappointed I missed the kickstarter for this.

One of my favorite images from this module. Mind Flayers are bad-ass enough, but add grenades and laser pistols to their arsenal and you are doomed. Since they have Genius intelligence, they have a better chance to fully understand the high tech items and use it to deadly effect.

Spectacular! I love the new bubble effect from his psionic attack. Do you happen to remember how you created the effect in the old image?
