Description I found a site that allows you to make your own font. I've always wanted to try it. I was thinking of doing a font that was obscure yet fun, and I remembered the movie "Flight of the Navigator" has some alien writing. Using some deciphering skills I was able to determine that the alien language was actually an English substitution. So when I made the font, I kept to that to make it more accurate.

This artwork shows the ship from the movie, and the words "I am a Trimaxian drone ship from the planet Phaelon"

The font can be found here:

Please don't get me wrong, I really enjoy this movie, in fact I watched it again last night and I have the dvd, however the people who made the film did something so foolish that it is idiotic and that is that they didn't do any after sales marketing, at least I haven't seen any, this film at the time could have been a goose that lays golden eggs.

I can't remember it's name but the little creature that David takes home with him to my mind would have been a best seller, I still would like to get one.

I'm going to download the font, great stuff.

Cheers.

Yeah, it would have been cool to have a model of the ship.  Or even a sequel to the movie; Maybe the ship has to find another Navigator.

Very nice. I collect fonts and grabbed that as soon as I saw it.

Oh, that is a nice complement. It definitely took some time to put together.

I know, this is one of the good ones. Too bad it is not as publicly big as it should be. There should be Flight of the Navigator models, posters, toys, books, cups, and of course book bags

Well I did not make it up. It is from "Flight of the Navigator". But it sure took some time to make it into a font I could use.

Nice job, good feel of "complexity", looks like pictograph maybe, but of concept that seem foreign

Thank you. Flight of the Navigator definitely deserves some fan art for the alien writing, it is quite cool.

Bleh, that would be such a hassle to write out. The Latin alphabet is 100 times better.

Surprisingly it reminds me of Mayan, which is also a language made of complex pictures for each sound.

Well, the Mayans didn't have to write notes a lot like the Romans did.

Maybe it's just a formal thing for the aliens, and they probably have a shorthand system... If they even write, that is.

Well, perhaps. Trimaxian is probably one of the more complicated alien languages.

At least as complicated as Polish. And my mom is Polish. Too bad she only spoke English to me...
