Now, I usually don't plug my work, but he's been an amazing commissioner and his ideas for his commissions have always been unique and engaging. If you checked out his previous commissions you know exactly what I am talking about. Now here he wanted something very specific. He wanted Batman Beyond in the famous pose from the cover of The Dark Knight Returns where Bats is framed in black against a lightening bolt in the stormy night skies over Gotham. And I loved doing this! It was a challenge to take the silhouette from the cover and flesh it out into the entirety of the figure. It was challenging and soooooo much fun! So thanks again to Ryan for another awesome commission and I hope that he keeps coming up with these fun commissions in 2014!
Of course DC owns Batman Beyond
And Ryan owns the art!

As always, your comp, anatomy, pose and linework are brilliantly dead on... but doesn't this version of the Bat normally have a fully covered facemask?

Leroy Leroy Leroy! You are correct sir, Batman Beyond does in face have a full face mask. But, but, but! He does still have facial features seen through that mask. He has a fully functioning, articulating mouth. Its almost as if the mask itself is spray painted onto the face!
Take the current time Bats, his only really articulating portion of the mask is his chin/mouth/jaw. And that's because the mask is cut away to allow for the human part to stick out. But Batman Beyond doesn't have that, does he? His mask seems to go all the way to his lips! But how does that happen?
I mean other full face masks are more like Iron Man/Rocketeer. And you have absolutely no emotional capabilities with that set up.
So how do you get a full face mask that allows for COMPLETE and total facial expression at the same time?
I have no idea! But Bruce Wayne did it for Terry and that's what I tried to illustrate. The idea that his entire face, and all his abilities to express his emotions is present, while still being protected by a mask, is what I was trying to go for.
So that was the long version of: he does have a full face mask. There are no cut outs or seems to let his face poke out. His face is entirely covered. Yes sir. And that's how I drew him up!
You're very observant! Good job!

... and a fine job you did indeed! Actually, I'm not observant enough. It looked at this rez a bit like the creases running from nose and cheekbone were running together to give an open mask impression but upon closer examination, I see exactly what you're talking about.
