Here's a fun one! One of my con prints is of Spier-Man 2099 ( also seen in my banner) and as it happened, I got a commission to work up a full color Spider-Man. Now with this piece I wanted to work a solid b.g. color and incorporate the design of the figure into it. Almost as if anything that wasn't the b.g. color, was all that was actually there. Now when I had come up with this plan, I instantly thought of going with a blue color field and the red of his costume would look like a sweet red lightening bolt. But as I worked it up, the red was the only thing that could actually be read at a distance. So I flipped my plan and made the b.g red and the parts that had volume and form were the blue.
