Description
"I'll be back!" From the original Arnie T-800 to the new John Connor bot, here's the timeline of all the significant Terminators from the franchise. I ordered them chronologically by movie, otherwise it would have gotten super confusing. Which is your favorite Terminator?Related content

My fave is T-1000. Not only my favorite, but the strongest out of the others. The only way to kill him is to freeze him, or melt him in boiling steal.Β

1984: Kick-ass
1991: still kick-ass
2003: not as kick-ass as the previous two, but still awesome
2008: never saw the show, so I can't say anything
2009: kick-ass all over again
2015: a kick where the sun doesn't shine

No, that's not what I mean't. You said it's bad ass where the sun don't shine.
And where the sun don't shine is your ass, so do you mean bad ass- ass

What's even worse is that they gave it away in the trailer of Terminator Salvation

My favorite has to be T2. Not only is it a really good movie, but it scared the hell outta me as a kid. Even today, I find T-1000 pretty disturbing.
I actually like Genisys, though I feel I shouldn't. I think if it was presented more as a horror movie like the first two films, it would have been even better. They had a lot of opportunity to make the T-3000 really disturbing - like make his "metal shavings" resemble a swarm of insects so we can feel all itchy when he does something!

T2 is amazing, and the first terminator movie I saw, but I still have a soft spot for #1

1984: the classic Arnie'.
1991: this one became the inspiration for Glacius
2003: meh, a hamfisted parody of Terminator. Not even the naked scene sold it for me.
2008: only watched the pilot, but I've heard a lot of good things about it
2009: You know what I think of Salvation, look at my signature
2015: One does not simply turn Connor into a Terminator
Really wishΒ we had gotten a sequel to Salvation. For all its flaws, it was still better that Genisys because it tried something NEW for once: a (never to be) trilogy set during a Machine War affected by Skynet's meddling with the past.
edit: my favourite movies in order:
1-Terminator 2: Judgement Day
2-Salvation
3-The Terminator
4-Terminator 3: Rise of the machines
5-Genisys
Unsorted-Sarah Connor chronicles (haven't watched it completly, so I can't make a fair judgement)

I love the first two and Genesys. As for the robots themselves, my heart goes to the T-1000 for being the best computer-generated effect ever. It plays to CG's strengths while incorporating its weaknesses. Making it liquid metal circumvents the problems of the human eye - it passes a retinal scan of "liquid metal" perfectly. That, and because CGI as a whole looks unnatural, we have an unnatural creation adding to its horror. Even the version in Genesys still looks amazing, even better than the new model one. The latter tries to mask itself in textures and attempts to mimic reality that fail because CG can never be real; that is, it will always fail a retinal scan. But the T-1000 is supposed to look unnatural, and making it overtly liquid metal makes it pass the scan with flying colors. That, and it can allow for some great moments, like the passing through the gates in T2, or hiding as the mirror in Genesys.

Very good.
Don't understand the negative critics about GENISYS. I loved it.

The "5th" terminator isn't actually Worthington's. It's just a T-600 with a rubber-skin. Was Skynet's first try at infiltration units but the rubber easily gives it away up close.
Also the size and attached Minigun also give it away as well.
Just thought to let you know.
