I'm happy to see stock providers being considerate enough to blur out people's faces before letting all of the internet do as they wish with the photo (I would not want to end up as online stock just because I came to a horse show).Β  A lot of people assume everyone knows that only the horse is actually the stock.Β  Also like this angle/pose and swish of the tail. β™₯

I thing there are some older stock pictures in which the faces are still visible, I really should edit those... I just realized that people could be unhappy to see their faces in someone's pictures, especially on the internet. I guess I would feel that way. It's sad to see what the internet can do, for example how quick a simple photo becomes a meme or something. I would not want to be all over the internet just because I'm in some picture someone took somewhere. I don't think any of my stock photos would ever go viral, but you never know.

Also, you raise the point of people being the focus of a photomanipulations. I have never thought about that, because most of the time I only see the horse which is the reason I upload the picture, but unedited actually every aspect of the picture could be "fair game".

Thank you for your comment, it made me think more about this topic. And thanks, glad you like the picture

I'm glad to see you actually thought about it instead of just giving a sarcastic response.Β  "Well duh, everybody knows only the horse is the stock..." etc, but if the background person or the rider happens to be especially "ugly" or silly-looking and catches someone's eye, the whole picture is stock so they can do whatever they want (I've seen some riders, lol especially going over jumps, who are focused on what their horse is doing and not what kind of facial expression they are making...)Β  The internet is a pretty mean place.

I support respectful stock photoes.

Keep up the lovely work. β™₯

Yes, the internet can be quite mean. But I guess the people who direct attention to the kind of photos used in memes etc. don't care if it is stock or not. Still, yes, respectful stock photos are the way to go

Lucky you!

Sorry, I can't remember the name and is seems I can't find any pictures where you could see his number. The picture was actually taken in 2011, I just uploaded it recently. Sadly I could not make it to the show in 2013.

Probably, but our team of grooms gets switched around a lot, so I may be left home to take care of the other horses. We are on rotation during show season.
