Description
I thought it would be fun showing you my usual stages when drawing (:1.I start off with a rough sketch, just brainstorming some volumes, poses, getting a grip of the general idea (at first I wasn't thinking about adding a tiger)
2.I always paint in Grayscale. It's easier for me to decide where the light will be coming from, how will the objects look in that lightning, thinking about composition, etc.
3.When I am satisfied with the composition (but not detailing, just the idea and lightning) I make a new layer set to Soft light and experiment with colors and tones - they are easily used and changed when you have started in Grayscale.
4.I am making new layers set to Normal and I just add colors and define shapes.
5.More shapes and colors
6.Adding details and deciding what will be the focus of the painting - in my case it is Nidalee's face, therefore I add more details and make it smoother comparing to the rest of the picture. The rest is in a speedpaintery style and her face looks softer, looks different.
Sooo, hope you like it!
