There you go, RC1 is out, so is now the 2.3 update of the skin, a special update where I've been going on what people were wanting in it, just check below...Version 2.3
-----------
- You wanted back the possibility of changing the user picture: Done
- You wanted the logoff/shutdown buttons at their respective place for XP: Done
- You wanted the possibility to use fully the basic skin for non supported graphic card: Done, it's re-added for 32 and 48px startmenu
- You wanted a lighter Glass window: Done, the Glass effect has been changed:
It now has 2 states with different shadows (large active/ small inactive) and outline (blue active/white inactive)
- Also fixed icon/tile bug in the styler skins
- New flash button
- Improved shellstyle
- New taskbar buttons
- ...and some bug fixes, at least I hope...

I think this is the most perfect vista themes for xp, thanks for this i like vista but my pc cant support aero so im going to use this! theres only one need to do for more vista looks, large icon view on the desktop and blue transparent on it.

Great skin! my favorite from all of the skins all over DA, but I have some questions-
is it also good for 32 bit 1152*864?
and will vista sidebar effect it?
and last thing when I turn WMP on will it appear in the taskbar?

just have one question. I'm kinda new at this, but when this skin, everything worked fine except for the toolbar at the very top of my internet explorer. I wanted the glass one that looks really nice, but for some reason it gave me the other blue one.

how can i undo what the ls patcher did? i switched back to my regular theme and i can't figure out #1 how to get the fonts in the top title bar of a window back to normal, and 2 i can't figure out how to get the turn off and log off text back in the start tray. please help me

for getting back turn off and log off text run the patch again and it will restore it
as for the title bar fonts some times wb does odd things like this restart and see if it solves teh problem

Once again, the best skin out their for WB5. The depth, quality, and attention to detail, is unsurpassed. Thank you for sharing your work with us. -BTW- I just couldn't get used to the orange, so I changed it back to blue, for my own personal use. Question: Is their a reason why I can't have the image preview Shellstyle1.UIFile available for this skin? I really do like this feature. Oracle Bill

I sure am glad to have in anyway "helped" you improve your already nearly perfect skin (more than a month ago I was the one to made you notice the icon/tile bug in the styler skins).
Anyway GREAT job as usual, combine this awesome skins with TopDesk 1.4.2 and the official (patched) Vista Sidebar and you've got yourself a BUG-free september06-Windows Vista!!!

I recently downloaded a theme i found in another section of DA ,
its called Blueset and is exaclty if not better than yours , even the file size is nearly same as your earlier 2.2 version , wondered if that guy created his own or is it a modified version of your original,
i think i found it in the window blinds section or Miscellaneous , either one for sure 100%

I'm sorry but I tried your 2.3 version and it really "breaks" the start menu of my system, moreso than version 2.2 for some reason. Also, the minimize, maximize, close buttons do not glow properly or nearly as much as they did in 2.2. The grey button only turns blue, and red close button turns a little more red, no glow though. Also, the start menu orb has a line breaking it.

FYI, I have a 1920x1200 res, 16:9 widescreen laptop, set at 120 dpi.

The only think I'm thinking of is, yes, the DPI scale but how can I fix it, if I make the startmenu working for that scale, well, it won't work on 96DPI, ...

Maybe if it isn't too hard to do, you could give the user two options for either 96 or 120 DPI? I'm surprised no one else has had these problems with DPI, actually.

Version 2.2 is working a LOT better for me than did 2.3... maybe the code was more DPI-friendly?

Hi, your Vista WB skin is great! Just a few questions/suggestions:
a) What's the difference between 32px and 48 px?
b) Can you make this compatible with widescreen displays and 120 dpi, for instance on a laptop with a 1920x1200 resolution at 120 dpi? The start menu isn't aligned otherwise and really is ruined

I don't have a glow either with the Glass 48px.

There's an error in Glass 48px which I'm sure is a problem pertaining to only me, but I'd like to know if anyone knows the source of the problem.
The "glow" effect on the minimize, maximize, and close buttons does not appear in any window. This is frustrating, because the buttons look horribly ugly without the glow, but 48px is the only version which displays the start menu correctly.
Does this happen with anyone else? Is it my version of windowblinds? Windows has seemed fairly buggy recently, and I'm thinking about simply switching to Vista to abandon all this theming software - I have Vista installed, but I don't consider it enough to be a main OS yet.
It's notable to say that this is the first time I've had this problem with one of your skins.

How do you change the user picture? I've tried, and can't get it to work. The method I used was to change my picture in User Accounts, but nothing changed on the start menu. Thanks!
